Flavors Grill & Seafood

Ok this is a new place on Veterans Memorial Hgwy, & one of the owners is a friend of the wife of a co-​worker. Neither my co-​worker nor his wife has been here, so this was truly a blind taste test.
My girlfriend & I went here about 2 weeks ago, thinking it was a sit down type of place but we ended up at South City Kitchen, instead. Now there are tables at Flavors, but this is really a carry-​out kind of place. The service was very good. The owners daughter is the «hired» help & she obviously did not want to be behind the cash register, but her mother kept her in check, which was nice. :) I ordered a 3 piece whiting dinner (which means that the fries were extra) & they cook everything to order. They gave me a free «house» iced tea (syrup with ice in could not have been any sweeter!) while I waited for them to prepare the food. Unfortunately the fries were soggy (not dripping with oil) & the whiting was slightly over done. Frankly it tasted like the oil they were using was just too old, but the fries did not taste fishy. I give it a, «Meh» for right now because I will go back & check out the ribs.
