Service was top notch(I wish I remembered her name. Young brunette) The food was so fresh and delicious! Reminded me of the Mexican food I would get in Southern Ca. HUGE portions– if we lived closer we would be regulars.

Excellent tacos. We used to eat at taquerias like Taco Prado in San Diego, and we wish we had a place like this near our new home in South Carolina.

Homely but spacious mom and pop joint. Authentic tacos with great flavor. The salsa bar is much appreciated but the sauce I had was super hot. I am in the area enough so I am likely to return.

Clean, friendly service and great food. The tacos(alpastor FTW!) and burritos are great. The nachos were only so-so.

Lo mejor! This place is about 15 – 20 minutes from my house, and well worth the drive when I’m craving authentic Mexican tacos(and don’t feel like cooking it myself). The Sunday morning menudo(the food, not the band) is excellent. Prices are great. If you want real Mexican, look no further.

It’s a little hidden away but well worth the find! The fish tacos and horchata is what makes a trip out to this gem well worth it!

Taco Prado is A-OK with me! Heading to my sisters job on Fulton industrial, I stopped through for a bite to eat(the Friday before Valentines day) the place wasn’t crowded(for a Friday evening) but they had a steady flow picking up food. The place was a lot bigger then I thought, but the services wasn’t so friendly… I mean I know that you may deal with some questionable characters from time to time, but you cant treat everyone the same based on previous experiences, the services felt rushed… I’m still not sure if I actually wanted the quesadillas — lol. As you already know… I ordered the quesadillas, just cheese and meat. I asked if chips came with the meal as most Mexican restaurant do and I was told they charge a dollar if I want chips… I should have just ordered the cheese dip and maybe they would have been free. The food was good, they also have a nice little salsa bar… but all of the salsa seemed spicy. I wouldn’t make any special efforts to come to this place, but if I’m in the area and in the mood for Mexican I will stop through. Reasonable Prices Clean Restaurant Limited Parking

LOVE this joint! I’m so lucky it is close to the office. Can’t say I have tried anything besides tacos cause they are so yummy I stick to them each time. 3 Al Pastor, corn tortilla tacos with fresh cilantro & onions are a mere $ 5.60.

Lovey little mexican joint with authentic food and everything from horchata to live mexican soccer going on TV. Great price point. Slightly disorganized with take out orders so be clear and make sure you know what’s going on.

Stumbled into this place because I couldn’t find anything in the area. Seems kind of like the only option in the area. It was amazing though. Will certainly be going back.

Wow!!! I am from San Antonio and always have a really hard time finding Mexican food that even comes close to my hometown food. This place is it!!! We will definitely be stopping here any time we are in the area. You order at the counter and then seat yourself. I had the steak gorditas and they were incredible. If you don’t know what a gordita is, it is thick corn shell made from masa similar to a tortilla but thicker. These were cleary made fresh and oh so good. The girl behind the counter said she usually likes them best with the shredded beef but they were all out so she suggested the steak or ground beef. I went with the steak and it was delicious. My daughter had the mini chicken quesadilla on the kids meal. It was very big(half of a rather large full size quesadilla) and the chicken was also really flavorful. The tortilla was also homemade. Instead of fries, she got the retried beans, which tasted like they were made from scratch. I had a baby sitter growing up that made me homemade bean tacos from scratch and these tasted just like her beans. The chips and queso were a hit with my husband. The queso had a nice kick but not super spicy, although too spicy for my 2-year-old. They also serve authentic Mexican glass bottle drinks and my husband was so happy to have his Mexican Coke. They funny thing was the girl behind the counter laughed when I ordered queso and said they used the English words chips and cheese instead of queso and she had never heard It called Mexican Coke. Apparently we do things a little differently in Texas. Haha! But the service was super friendly. The restaurant was very clean and we highly recommend this place!

If you are looking for authentic Southern Californian Mexican food in Atlanta your search is over. Taco Prado makes me so happy. For one their salsa bar is banging, and they aren’t stingy with it like other local taco spots. *cough cough* El Taco Veloz. Second, you get free chips and salsa when you dine-in. And yes I may admit the tortilla chips are less than perfect, but damn it they are free. Thirdly, there are no attitudes here. The folks have been pleasant each time I’ve come by, and they have no problem adjusting dishes or making items not on the menu. Lastly, but the most important, the food is damn good. Well minus the tortilla chips because they really do suck.

Hole in the Wall= Great Surprise. A group of guys had drove up to Six Flags for the weekend from SW Florida and looked for a great local spot to eat. We found Taco Prado and the reviews were favorable so we went. I was impressed with the quality and freshness of the food as well as the authenticity! I love good old fashioned Mexican food, nothing fancy just delicious. We watched a football(Soccer) game with the locals and then went home with smiles on our faces! Awesome and would return.

Work colleagues recommended that I try this place for Lunch. This is a very traditional Mexican restaurant & it’s a good spot to grab lunch. Ordered Chicken Burrito & it was huge — chicken was marinated perfectly with rice & beams. It’s one of the better burritos I have had in Atlanta. Colleague ordered Vegetable quesadilla & seemed to like it. We also ordered to guacamole & it tasted freshly made with cilantro & jalapeño. They have a big Bar for condiments & salsa for your taco. I would recommend this spot. Prices are economical & plenty of food.

Yes, yes, yes. If you’re itching for some real mexican food, this place is pretty much it in this area. I imagine there are a few others, but you can’t go wrong coming here. Get the nachos if you’re starved; it’s a huge portion.

Found this great little place reviewed on Unilocal in my neighborhood! Friendly staff, clean, lots of seating and authentic Mexican food. Good salsa bar and Coca Cola from Mexico in the glass bottle to buy as well as fountain coca-cola products. We tried the tacos, enchiladas and taquitos. All very good. You place your order and pay at the back counter. While we dined in seems they get a lot of to go orders. The reason for only 4 stars, no beer, wine or liquor yet. They also have Wi-fi which the hubby was pleased about too.
