Expensive. Their shakes are very pricey. Had the patty melt. Meh. A little small. Fries had that slight freezer-burned taste.

This place got off to a great start. We were there in the first half-hour on opening day. Their onion rings were to die for… thinly-sliced, then hand-dipped in a great batter. We went back several times mainly for those onion rings. But things went downhill pretty quickly. No more delicious onion rings. They’ve switched to the same old(cheaper), thick batter frozen rings. Like most of our friends, we’ve stopped going there.(I guess we’re not the only ones, since the parking lot only has a few cars at a time in it. It used to be packed! What a shame.

Gave the place the second shot just to try the«donut burger» — something I’ve never had a chance to buy, available here only on Saturdays. They screwed up part of my order but were good about fixing it when we stopped at the pick-up window to speak to them about it. The burger was not half bad. The glaze and fat of the donut actually seemed to help with the general blandness of the burger meat. I wasn’t sure what toppings I should do on the thing, and tried doing lettuce, tomato and mayo as usual, and it didn’t really detract from it. It was weird, but I think pickles, ketchup and mustard would only have been weirder. I also tried tater tots instead of the fries, and they were likewise a tad better than what I tried before. Still, I doubt I’ll visit a third time, The service is usually nice, and I’d like to support local small businesses, but there are plenty of places in Macedon where I’d rather eat for a similar price.

I live down the road from this establishment. My husband and I being foodies, we awaited the finish of the building for a month, the anticipation gnawing at us to have a good burger place in town. Don’t get your hopes up if that’s what you want. I’ve been there a total of 2 times, and both times I was disappointed beyond belief. Everything they offer I can purchase down the road from the local walmart. The crinkle cut fries are the bagged type, their burgers too thin — my husband couldn’t event finish his because it was raw in the middle. The lettuce is shredded, and for lack of better words a little sad looking. The bun to hamburger ration is horrible. Our second trip in we steered clear of the burgers and opted for the chicken sandwiches only to find that we could purchase the same product(which we do) right down the road. Again it was too big of a bun, and the lettuce was wet and wilted. The only nice thing about this place is the pickle bar in the back. All in all, if you want a burger you’re better off running down the street to McDonald’s.

New to the area, I was hoping to support a local new business. Appears that the young staff has not received all their training yet. Didn’t know the menu or register or how to address customers. After you order & pay you wait for them to call your name for you to pick it up. A long wait. I did watch the cooks and counter staff cooking. No gloves!!! They had a lot of fun because they were laughing A LOT! I don’t mind a happy work place and work can be fun. However it should not come at the foods expense. Our fry’s were cooked and put on the shelf(I hope it was a warmer shelf) and it was about 10 minuets before the burgers were made. For the cost and the wait and taste I must say McDonald’s is a better value. Now let me mention the lack of cleanliness, it was filthy, the tables were dirty, floors had food tucked away in many corners. We did not try the rest rooms. I am really sorry to write such a poor review. I’m pretty sure I won’t be giving the Patty Shack a second chance. SORRY!

Not a bad cheeseburger with an amazing fluffy bun. The fries were subpar(taste like fries you buy frozen at the store and can never taste like restaurant fries no matter what) and you get a lot of them. The biggest downer is the price which at a bit under $ 9 for a combo(cheeseburger, fries, and a large drink with free refills) is high for what you get.

Really bad. Burger just so-so. Fries were over cooked frozen fries. Lousy. Like an idiot, I ordered a chocolate shake. WAY over priced. They FINALLY brought to me after I had eaten. Took too long for a grainy, under flavored, lumpy milk shake. Don’t waste your money. Very expensive for what you get. Two thumbs down.

We have been dying to check this place out since we first saw a burger joint would be opening soon. We were pleasantly surprised to see it was more of a mom and pop Bill Grays kind of place and not just a burger or «X Hots» that have popped up all over the place. Kinda has a Carmines feel inside. The food was about what you’d expect. Good but nothing special, nothing to set it apart from anywhere else except that its new.(Even the ice cream is overpriced — it’s almost triple what a cone costs at Fozzys in Ontario). The plates are a little smaller but my husband enjoyed the hot sauce — said it reminded him of Henrietta Hots which he had regularly while attending RIT. Despite what one reviewer experienced, I decided to try the fish fry. It was about average size, but only $ 1 cheaper than a Salvatore’s Fry which is HUGE, and it was very bland — tasted like it was frozen. More like fish sticks flavor than a nice fresh fish fry. I hate Tops, but even their fish fry is better. The burgers are good though and my three year old likes the little cookies and small kid straws. Their finger foods are actually one of the few things on the menu that I found cheaper than most places and actually worth the price(pizza rolls were average and about half the price as anywhere else) This place isn’t spectacular by any means, but if we happen to be near it again, and we are hungry for something faster, we’d hit it up again. I’d definitely grab a drink and a snack.

Not so good, fair at best. Found plastic in the lettuce on my burger. Poor ordering and food pick up set up.

You can imagine my sheer delight, finding a good Olé burger place in our wee little section of the burbs. Perhaps my review is biased. Considering my expectations of grandeur. We ordered 2 «Roc Plates» and a fish fry.($ 35 later) The fish fry consisted of what looked like 2 chicken nuggets and fries. The Roc Plates… 2DRY burgers on top of fries and mac salad. The front counter staff is clueless. Do they know the menu? We ordered our fries extra crispy… im assuming the cook thought we meant extra soggy. What was good: The cole slaw that came with the«fish» fry. Overall: tiny portions, less the stellar staff, EXPENSIVE. Bill Grey’s is going to murder this place in sales. I will not be returning.

Stopped in for lunch today — it appeared to be pretty busy at the noon time hour. My friends and I waited in a short line that seemed to move pretty quickly. I decided to order a cheese burger«combo» meal(came with a cheese burger, fries, and fountain soda) and my bill came to just over $ 9(DANG!) After ordering you have to wait for your name to be screamed out across the restaurant to come get your tray of food. The tray has to be handed to you over the glass case for which the ice cream can be viewed in. There is no counter space to set the tray down and it seemed that sometimes it was a chore trying to get food to customers, especially if the orders were large enough and they couldn’t get a decent hold of the try as its being handed to you in mid air. While waiting I noticed a woman behind the counter working in the kitchen with very long hair NOT tied back. She also was wearing a skimpy tight black dress that looked like something you would wear to a club, not cook burgers and fries in. I was kind of baffled at how anyone would even let her work in a kitchen in such attire. When my name was called the woman handed me a tray with a cheese burger on a small 6″ paper plate and a paper boat of crinkle cut fries. The burger had nothing but cheese on it and for the price I paid my mind was blown, so I asked, «wow I don’t even get lettuce and tomato» and the woman said«oh I didn’t know you wanted any» — which she was cool and took the tray back and did throw some lettuce and tomato on… But I figured it was standard, and I was never asked at the register what I would like on my burger. The burger was ok– nothing show stopping, and the fries were mediocre at best. The prices were high and so were my expectations… Which of course I left disappointed. I don’t think I will be back.
