Really good bartenders. The food was really good too but over priced for the amount that you got. I ordered an amaretto sour. The bartender made it a stone sour which normally I send back because I’m not the biggest fan of orange juice but it actually was really good.

Extremely large beer selection. Limited but delicious menu. I have had every item on the menu and found them ALL to be spectacular! The bar is always neat and clean and 99% of the time we’ve had excellent service. The one time we did have bad service that employee vanished after that. So the owners who are around often definitely listen to feedback and have high standards. The inside is clean and modern, the bathrooms are always kept clean. They have video gaming and a wall mounted juke box but the music is never too loud. Seating is however a bit cramped and if your in a party larger then four good luck, as there are maybe two tables near the window that can handle six to seven people. They have trivia night on Wednesdays and great meal and drink specials. Safe place to bring the kids until about 8 and after that, well hey if your bringing a kid to a bar after 8 you probably dont care anyway. All in all an outstanding place to go grab a beer or sandwich and if your out for a cruise on the Harley or a Sunday drive Haynes on Main in Mackinaw makes for a perfect stopping point.

Consistently great. Simple and tasty sandwiches. Strong drinks. Good beer selections on tap. And my favorite… this place is clean. Warning: kitchen closes at 9 pm.

We love Haynes! An awesome small town pub with a clean touch of class. Always have an amazing time and the owners are usually around. They don’t have a full kitchen but that never stops us from pigging out on their delicious sandwiches and appetizers as we gulp down some of their killer cocktails. Vast beer options for the area too.

Nice little bar in a tiny town. Great burger, get the boom sauce! They did not have a fryer when I was there. Dark, clean, and comfortable. Has an irish pub feel.

30 bucks for two for lunch, 2 small unreasoned frozen puck burgers and one bowl of something the called chilli… not impressed.

Mackinaw is not on a main thoroughfare, but if you’re in Peoria or Bloomington, or heading down I-155, this is a really nice place to grab a bite of delicious and just different-enough pub food to make the detour worthwhile. I had the turkey burger(locally sourced) that had bacon and cheddar in it(don’t hide the taste with any toppings — the patty can stand on its own.) My wife had the Philly cheese steak wrap — there was no bun to dilute the taste, it was moist, fresh and very flavorful. She had a baked potato with cheese and bacon for her side, which she described as, «divine.» She asked for extra butter to help after she got halfway through the potato which the staff cheerfully provided. Dessert was the brownie with whipped cream — I don’t know what kind of a crust it had on the bottom, but, man, it was good. They have a handful of craft beers on tap, and two coolers full of bottled craft and mainstream beers, plus a fully-stocked bar. The service was attentive, and the staff came across as genuine. The place is clean(maybe because they don’t have a fryer, just a grill) and well-lit. For two meals, a shared dessert and three draft beers, we got out of there for $ 38, pre-tip. Definitely going back, and going to bring some friends with next time.

Heard good things so my wife and I decided to drive to Mackinaw for supper. Wait staff were very friendly and attentive. We went on a Wednesday night and the special was two different flatbreads which we both ordered. They were very good and HUGE for $ 9. Can’t wait to try a burger or a wrap. Make the drive to Mackinaw, you’ll be glad you did.

And also not to forget outstanding Cole slaw. I had the cheese burger with there special sauce also outstanding. Great atmosphere very friendly staff and clean. We will be back!

We had heard good things about this place and finally decided to check it out for lunch. We were not disappointed. The place is in a cool old building, when you walk in the front doors you have the bar on your right and some counter height tables and stools to your left. We sat at one of the tables and our waitress(who was also the bar tender) was quick to stop by and ask us what we wanted. When she came back with our drinks we put in our order, 2 burgers and a side a chips. I got grilled onions, american cheese, and their«burger sauce»(which was explained to us to be a type of homemade thousand island). My wife got the same, minus the grilled onions. Our burgers were cooked on a flatop grill right behind the bar and were out to us in 5 minutes. BESTBURGERAROUND. The edges were thin and a little crispy and center was juicy and cooked just right. The burger sauce was great. Mine was gone in a matter of minutes. My wife finished hers and we both agreed this is our new«burger place». Its great to support a local restaurant, get great service and have a seriously outstanding burger. We will be back, we are just wondering if heading back for dinner would make us seem weird!

Where do I start! This place is sweet. Every liquor you want and every brewski you want. MUSTGETTHE«Haynes-Tini.» They soak wedges of fresh pineapple in a flavored vodka and let it sit for ten days in a large vase and whola! UNBELIEVABLE! They also make their own margaritas, yummy fresh limes! Love the feeling/vibe you get. Beautiful exposed brick wall. Lot of bar stools and then small round tables to sit at. It is small, but a good small, no a great small! Everything is spic and span and new. The bathrooms are so nice too! Okay back to BEER! They have over 60 craft beers & imports, specialty cocktails & wines. They are going to be serving sandwiches soon but we had the Firehouse pizza and it was great with hot sauce. We will be back very soon! Excellent service and very nice people! Hours are Monday-Thursday 10am– midnight, Friday and Saturday 10am– 2am & Sunday 11am to midnight.
