Have been to this location often for lunch, yesterday was the last time. The food was very disappointing, much smaller portion, and tasted awful. The side dishes were«sold out», as was the ice cream. When my friend and I expressed our disgust, the person working walked away from us. We should have not had to pay full price for an entrée that was missing an entire part due to «being sold out». We will spend our money elsewhere for now on.

I would venture to guess this and the store on Garfield are owned and operated by the same person. I would think someone else owns the store on Rochester Rd in Troy. I really like the one in Troy but these two stores in Macomb and Clinton Twsp. give Dickeys a bad name especially when it comes to the number one word in franchising«CONSISTENCY». I actually called the one on Hall rd to find out what time they were open until and said I would be there in 10 minutes. I walked in the door with no greeting no hello just«WEAREOUTOFEVERYTHING» coming from some rude teenage girl who obviously has never had an ounce of customer service training and hated her job. I thought well I will call the Garfield store to make sure they have food and I’m glad I did and I’m glad I ask or I’m sure he would not have told the food situation had I not ask and of course they were out of everything also. I like the Dickeys on Rochester rd in Troy great food very nice help and probably owner operator on site I’m guessing, unlike the 2 east side locations.

As far as chain bbq joints. This Dickeys location is my favorite. The menue is the same as the others. But the quality of the food is way better here. Kutos to the management for keeping it delicious. The restaurant is always extremely clean. Tables are always clean and ready. Even the restrooms are well kept. The food is always good. I always get something different. I love bbq and have eaten it in all 50 states. So when we want fast and easy we go here. Especially on Sundays because kids eat free. The staff is always friendly and nice. And all look to be clean people. Lol. Everyone says hello and good bye. This a go to for us at least twice a month or so.

First time being at this location and we won’t be back. Highly disappointed coming here after living close to the Rochester Hills location. It’s 3:30pm on a Saturday and we are the only ones in the entire restaurant — and for good reason. As soon as we came through the door they informed us they were out of chicken, ham, fries, and onion tanglers. Okay, fine, I got a caesar salad instead of onion tanglers. He barely had enough dressing left to make my salad. He was squeezing it out of the bottle and I heard him tell the other guy working that was going to be the last caesar salad he could make today. My fiancé asked for jalapeño beans and got plain beans that had no flavor. The pop machine had two pops out of order. I don’t see this location being in business much longer — you only need two employees on a Saturday? After reading other reviews it seems as if this isn’t a rare occurrence. They also got our sandwiches mixed up… And I don’t believe these styrofoam cups, bowls and carry out containers are what they usually serve their food in nor the assortment of cheap white plastic ware mixed in with the sturdier silver plastic ware. I did not visit the restroom. Dickey’s corporate needs to look into what’s going on at this location. But the two employees working were pleasant and the ice cream machine was at least working…

The food is tasty but cold. The pickles are standard restaurant supply hamburger slices. This particular location was dirty. Floor was sticky and the sauce station was gross. I got some sort of substance on my pants, I don’t know if it was from sauce exploding out of the dispenser or if it was from a dirty counter or table. The women’s rest room was disgusting. The toilet looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned in a month. There was water on the floor under the sink mixed with soap, very slippery. The staff was friendly, though. There was plastic wrap in my food too.

It is 1:30 in the afternoon and we just left the Hall road store. They were out of spicy cheddar sausage, mac and cheese, potato salad, rolls, three of their pops, normal serving bowls, normal silver forks, and the self serve bbq sauce was cold. The bbq beans tasted like they ran out of them too and they ran to the store and bought Bush’s Baked Beans. No bbq flavor whatsoever. We were only told about the outages of the mac and cheese and potato salad prior to ordering. We won’t be back for some time I’m sure. If you go there, I suggest you ask what they are out of before wasting your time.

There are few reasons to come to this place. The portions are small, prices high and service low. We used to LOVE Dickey’s.(The Troy location is excellent) Don’t waste your time or dollars here. Second trip in a row with a horrible experience. No cornbread(a Dickey’s staple), ice cream machine is out of order, beyond those two inconveniences, the staff could not be bothered to crack a smile, acknowledge or eveb thank us for out patronage, and I’m pretty sure I witnessed a half dozen health violations — none the least of which was more disgusting than watching the unfriendly meat-unwrapper use her gloved hands to grap the neck of her shirt to wipe her nose and eyes several times. Hey Lady — the gloves are for our protection! The food tastes pretty good, but I wouldn’t(and won’t aganin) subject myself to this level of service for their benefit.

Horrible. Meat had no smoke flavor at all. Tasted as if it was boiled in drinking water supplied by Flint. Guess it’s what I should have expected from a chain.

We love the flavor of the Spicy Cheddar Sausage and the Smoked Turkey. The mac n cheese is good, cole slaw is better, and the potato casserole is delectable. Great place for a quick bite! And how do you beat the free ice cream at the end.

Tried this place, food was barely warm, cost was expensive for what I got. TOFTT. Will not be back. Sorry for the short review. The manager was such a nice person and accommodating, I don’t have the heart to rip the food that bad

The only reason this place is getting a 2 star and not a one star is because the pulled pork and bbq sauce were on point. First off, the menu is confusing. As it was my first time we had no idea how it worked and felt pressured when people started arriving behind us. And its 2015, why do people still shout back orders? The lady asked us twice what sides we wanted after we had already paid. And lets talk about price…$ 32 for two people. For that much I could have drove to Bad Brads and gotten good food. So lets talk about the food. Complete garbage. Had no idea that this was a «fast food bbq» joint. The mac n cheese was the same stuff they use at KFC, soggy disgusting slop. The baked beans tasted like they were out of a can with liquid smoke added. The roll I didnt even bother eating. The pulled pork was good, and I got a decent amount. Dont understand the point though if I dont get anything to put it on.(Tortillas/bread) The«free» ice cream didnt make up for the fact that this place sucked. Big time. DONOTEATHERE. I ordered Dickey’s for take-out a couple weeks ago. The online system was very easy to use and the food was ready when I arrived, except the onion tanglers which are always made on the spot. I ordered the picnic pack(one meat, two medium sides, four rolls), I chose ribs, cole slaw, and onion tanglers. I also tried the Polish sausage. Overall I thought the food was okay. The ribs didn’t have as much flavor as I like but they fell right off the bone. I didn’t realize the medium size onion tanglers were in a huge to-go box, way too much for me and two others. It was also a little too salty for my liking, tasted like fried onions you get in a grocery store. I’ll try it again in the future, probably try some other items on the menu. However I still prefer Bad Brads or Famous Daves(if they have one in the area) and would drive that extra 15 minutes for it over Dickey’s.

The food was good, but not great. I ordered pulled pork with fries and onion tanglers, my wife ordered the honey ham with ceasar salad. Both orders came with rolls. I had a tough time deciding whether to give this place 3 or 4 stars, I really wish they allowed half stars, but I ultimately gave it 4 stars because they are reasonably priced and the food is good enough for the prices. If you go in expecting Slow’s or Lazybones quality, you will be extremely disappointed. This is closer to the fast food bbq you get on every corner in Texas, but better than the imitation bbq you get from Famous Dave’s. The pulled pork was unseasoned and had almost no smoke flavor. It was still moist and fresh, so I was ok with it. I was disappointed with my waffle fries and the rolls which were both undercooked. Judging from other people’s fries when walking by, it appeared they rushed my order because there was a line. The others looked much better cooked. I’m not one to take my food back, so I just dealt with it. The honey ham was good, but I probably wouldn’t get it again. The sauces left a lot to be desired, they are all very similar and overly sour. I ended up eating the meat plain because we dined in since it was our first time. I would go back if I’m in the area, but won’t drive over there just for Dickies again since I’m closer to Bad Brad’s. In the future, I will ask for well done fries, get takeout, and use my own bbq sauce for a better experience.

This was our 5th time at one of the Dickeys locations. Out first at this one. We frequent the one on Garfield which is always great. This Dickeys was consistent with the other, same good product. I have a frequent diner card which is nice; you can earn free drinks and sandwiches.

Reasons why I like this place: — you get a lot of food and it tastes good. — it is possible to piece together a healthy, protein-centered meal — unlike most other resturaunts in this area. Reasons why I dislike this place: –The employees always have a terrible attitude. They’re all young, I can’t imagine they’re paid very well, however, the past three times I’ve been there I’ve heard employees verbally complaining out loud in front of customers. — this location is far from a well oiled machine. Wait times are slow. There is a lack of organization and I always feel like there is 6 people behind the counter and only three of them are working. — it’s kind of pricey for what you get.

Had a catered lunch on Wednesday & liked it so much I brought the family back tonite. Everything was delicious! The brisket was very lean & fell apart practically melted in my mouth. The pulled pork was very good, also very lean. The 3 bbq sauces were all good & we all mixed our own favorites. Waffle fries, Mac & cheese, baked beans & cole slaw were all large & delicious! When you add the sweet tea(or pop if you’d rather) & the FREE ice cream — you’ve got a pretty perfect meal! We’ll be back… often!

Onion Tanglers are awesome! Ordered on my phone was waiting when I got there. Bbq was a little spicy for my taste hot the sweet sauce and couldn’t eat it because it was too spicy for me. Definitely will be back.

Dickey’s is a well known chain BBQ restaurant west of the Missisip, not so much here in Michigan. Most people don’t know much about it but, that will change. The food is quite good. The BBQ Beef Brisket is excellent, try it chopped. Great pulled pork and the ribs are smoky and tender. All the sides are delicious. My wife loves the fried Okra with ranch dressing and with good reason. There is a selection of BBQ sauces, from sweet to spicy and onions and jalapenos at the fixin’s bar. Don’t forget the sweet tea! The menu is a bit complicated but just tell the server what you want and they’ll set you up. Dickey’s reminds me of Bandanas in St. Louis. Very good pulled pork and beef brisket sandwiches. The staff is friendly and courteous, the restaurant is clean and fresh looking. The prices are more than reasonable, especially the daily lunch specials. It’s just a nice place to eat with good food. I really enjoy eating at Dickey’s and the wife and I try to get out to the place at least once a month which is pretty frequent for us given that we eat out several times a week and try to mix it up. Try it, you’ll like it.

I’m rather torn on this review about whether it should be a four or a three, and eventually rested on a three because while nothing was bad nothing was great either, and for the price I know other places that are better. That being said I was pleased to see that they actually pull the meat that has been smoked out right in front of you and carve it. The sides were all decent and nothing to complain about other than it all being on the salty side, the roll being a bit undercooked, and the macaroni and cheese being cheesy mush. The green beans with bacon and barbeque beans were both pretty good though. Did I mention that there is free ice cream? Of course, like a little kid, I had to have a cone before leaving and I’m happy to report that it’s creamy and while not the best ice cream I’ve had it was good. Without a doubt this is a vast improvement over the predecessor Chop Fusion.

I remember the previous restaurant here Chop Fusion, which was pretty bad. It’s good to see this new restaurant change my mind about entering the same space. Dickey’s is not the best BBQ I have had, but it’s a good neighborhood restaurant to go to when you don’t want to fight the traffic west of Romeo Plank on Hall Road to go to the restaurants there. Their restaurant is overwhelming, a lot of different choices. I think I talked to the owner and two staff members that were really helpful in guiding me through the menu. I bought two Saturday«Specials,» a brisket sandwich, two sides(1st Special: mac and cheese, jalapeño beans, 2nd Special: BBQ beans, baked potato casserole), large drink, and ice cream for around $ 10 a piece. I got it home, heated up the sandwich and sides in the oven and,“Voila,” a really good solid lunch that held my hunger down all day. I didn’t even eat dinner. The sandwich was good, I took along some Dickey’s BBQ sauce to put on it, the sides I had, the mac and cheese, jalapeño beans were really good! I’ll definitely be back in the future. My dad ate the other meal and really liked the meal and the ice cream. This place is a good alternative to Boston Market, when you want something a little more spicier and«meatier». Can take your family to on a weekend, because it has a really nice interior for a sit down meal. This location is related to the one on Garfield(Dickey’s, 41700 Garfield Road, Clinton Township, MI48038). And no, I don’t work for Dickey’s, just a customer who likes a convenient, good place to go that is easy on my budget.
