Absolutely delicious! Had the triple berry crepes and everything was fresh and fantastic! The staff was very personable and friendly. Met the owner and his son and they were wonderful! Definitely coming again and again!

The good, the bad, the ugly. Where do I begin. The good: The food was tasty. The bad: The waitress was terrible, I was half way done with my omelette and still didn’t get my toast. Had to get up and ask for my toast. The ugly: When our waitress brought my toast she ran off before asking me if I wanted a refill. The ugliest: When she dropped off the check she still didn’t ask me if I wanted a refill and a box for the rest of my omelette. She left and said have a nice day. My friend, seen how pissed off I was and took my plates and glass up to the counter and got me a refill and a box for the rest of my food. Finally the kicker: It looked like there was four waitresses on the floor and only five tables in the whole restaurant. I CANSEEWHYTHISRESTAURANTISNOTBUSY

Fantastic place. Service was great, as usual. Food is excellent and their French onion soup is to die for. I also had the Philly Cheesesteak, which was very good as well. The French fries are also amazing. I recommend Paulee’s to anybody looking for a good, filling meal. You definitely get the bang for your buck here.

Meal was great! Fantastic strawberry crepes with vanilla crème filling! Also the turkey omelette was great as well! Light/fluffy eggs, a sauce on top that was smooth and complimented the eggs well! Need to update worn menus and seat in the booth, but an overall phenomenal first time experience!

Food is quick, hot, fresh, and most importantly, delicious. Staff is there at any moment to fulfill your needs. I’m a peculiar eater, so when I wanted my hashbrowns well done but forgot to mention it on my initial order, the staff had no problem cooking me up some new ones. Great little spot in Macomb!

Great atmosphere. The food is always excellent. The wait staff and owner go above and beyond, always friendly. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, all good. We go here quite often. Highly recommend.

This place was absolutely disgusting. We knew we should have left when we both went to the bathroom to wash our hands before eating, and neither bathroom had any soap. The food was awful, and we both ended up getting sick after. I will never return to this place.

I visit this place several times a year. EVERYTHINGISMADEINHOUSE, HUGEMENU, PRICESAREGOOD. The french onion soup is amazing as well as the chicken and dumpling. We have honestly never had a bad meal here. I have still not had the breakfast, but i plan to if i ever go during breakfast. Service can be slow at times, but i don’t mind. Like i said above everything is made there, so i don’t mind paying extra for that. I am surprised to see some bad reviews. Oh well, their loss!

Wow, just left Paulees for the 1st time, and I am so mad! … At myself for not giving them a try earlier and settling for garbage across the road(Leo’s coney). From the instant I walked in I was greeted, seated, and treated like their #1 customer. It was my first time there!!! Service, food, atmosphere all top shelf!!! If I could give 10 stars I would. I will never eat at Leo’s again! And I recommend everyone eat @ Paulees! #new life long customer

This place is wonderful. The service is great and the food is delicious. A family runs the place and they are so efficient like gears moving in a clock. Chicken and waffles are awesome, crepes as well!

This was the first time coming here after I saw on Facebook a «red velvet chicken and waffles». I am the biggest red velvet fan, and this place has the best batter! Pancakes and waffles… Ohh my. New owners kept the same menu I was told and the wait staff are very friendly and happy to be here, which shows in there customer service. Very few places make you feel like family. Can’t wait to come back and try the dinner!

I love Paulees because it’s not a Coney Island it’s a family restaurant. That being said you will see«homey» dish specials that many restaurants will not over and are cooked very well. The breakfast is very good and you will see by the long lines in the mornings. My personal favorites are the skillets and fresh strawberry crepes. In addition, there omelette a are very good as well. Their dinners at Paulees are very good and have a ton of specials to offer. They have specials like«Monterey Chicken Breast» and«Pumpkin Pancakes» in the fall season. All their food is fresh and you will defiantly see it in there dinners. The restrooms and diner is very clean and the bathrooms are also kept up. I highly recommend giving this place a try.

Absolutely delicious food! I usually get the buttermilk fried chicken w/mashed potatoes n veggies. I’ve also had the Oreo pie and soup, both great! The food tastes like real home cooked dishes. A coworker recommended this place and I’m so happy she did. I’ve been going back ever since. She loves the potato skins. The staff is polite and quick. My carry outs are always packed up nice and neat. I need to go in for breakfast one day. I heard it gets a bit busy on weekends, but I’m sure it’s worth it.

Friendly waitstaff and great food. I love the breakfasts here, the Irish Beni in particular. The restaurant was recently taken over by new management who are really trying to bring a new level of quality to Paulee’s.

I cannot speak to anything except the breakfast, which in my opinion is the best in the area. Yea, yea, yea, the service sometimes sucks a little bit. Generally, this is a deal breaker for me, but for some reason I am able to let it slide when I am looking for a good breakfast. They are usually very busy on the weekends, and I never see anyone just goofing off. They keep my coffee cup full and serve the best omelettes in town. For this, I overlook the spotty service.

I have been dining at Paulie’s for a few years now and have yet to have a bad meal or an unpleasant waitress. Every meal is homemade and tastes like it; it is always served in a timely manner(and hot); and is also always served with a smile. A first-rate restaurant and great alternative to the chains. You must eat at Paulie’s!

Have been going here for years and really enjoy it. Sunday mornings are typically really busy especially when people get out of church, so you may have a 15 minute wait or so. My boyfriend loves the Spanish scrambler he raves about it. I usually just get your typical eggs hash browns and toast. Its very good and usually hits the spot a great place for a quick breakfast.

I have to agree with the previous review… the service is terrible. We live right down the road and decided to try Paulee’s for breakfast. The food was good but the waitress was not friendly and we couldn’t get a refill on coffee. The waitress never came by to ask how our food was And it took forever to get our check and also pay our bill. A little pricey as well for breakfast.

Service service service… I don’t understand why the owner doesn’t see the wait staff(or at least a few bad apples) are driving this place into the ground. The food is really good but I can’t believe how bad the service is. I have an ongoing joke with my wife to ask the waitress«how much are refills?» If its coffee in the morning or soda during the day it seems I have to chase down a waitress and ask and the response is «I KNOW». If you know so well I wouldn’t have to ask I dread getting a particularly waitress that doesnt have an ounce of service in her body and is clearly there for the tips only. We are great tippers but I refuse to over tip this person. One time while we were eating she came and dropped off the check at our table with her hair down and then we saw her leave out of the front door. You would think to at least say that you have to leave or someone else will get you anything else you may need. NOPE. New restaurants are opening everyday all around us. Leos just opened across the street and they wouldn’t let any one person take down there business. I love the food but I don’t know if I can handle one more service by such a self centered know it all that doesn’t serve us in the manner that we expect. Unless that’s your gimmick to have great food and really rude waitress. Not all are bad but one bad apple right? Did I mention that the food is great?

Food was good. I had the Italian ciabatta I liked it. Service was a little slow. Our server had been working all day(double shift). She was friendly but tired.

The only plus to this place is the Monte Cristo. I don’t know any place around that makes them. And it was delicious. This place is pretty pricey. My son got pancakes and they sucked. For $ 5 kids pancakes. That’s a bit stupid. Also the high chair was missing a safety strap. And we commented this was not acceptable. With the most attitude I’ve ever gotten from a server. She replied«oh well. It’s all we got». Unacceptable. Ill get carry out Monte Cristo. But I’ll never eat there, or any of their other food again.

Wow. Terrible can’t even describe it. Waitress just took a break in the middle of serving us and sat at the booth behind us eating and chatting with other staff. If you’re going to take your lunch break, a) do it before or after your table has left, b) at least have someone cover for you. It’s not cool, even when you’re average plate is $ 7, to come over to the table with a mouthful of french fries. In a town where these Coney Island knock-offs are a dime a dozen, avoid this trap.
