The staff at this subway should not be working with food. Subway is just meeeh(a better option to fast food) anyways but it’s much easier to swallow when the staff is PRESENTABLE, cleanly, and friendly. Not here! Sad because I frequent subways often and really enjoy building a rapport with the staff. That isn’t going to happen here!

So I stop in this Subway with thoughts of this big hot pastrami that they have been advertising, despite my better judgement. The person I was with got a Meatball Sub, which is a staple go-to for me as well. The price. $ 4. I saw a sign on the wall with big numbers that said $ 5.50 for the pastrami, so I start in on the build for a footlong, and there isn’t that much meat in this thing but I figure i’m committed. I get to the register and the guy says ‘$ 10.50′, and i’m like for what? He says the footlong pastrami is 9 something + tax. I told him to keep it and walked out. Now I don’t blame the staff, the management, the store owner. Just Subway for not knowing who their customer is. You cannot in any way, shape or form, sell a sandwich of the same size as your $ 4 meatball and get a $ 6 up-charge based on some perceived value of the meat of the sandwich. The price gap is too high, especially when if I wanted a really good pastrami sandwich(with 4x the meat for the same price), I would have went down the street and gladly dropped $ 10 on a great pastrami sandwich, not low end Subway fare. Your customers come here because it is cheap. Quiznos tried this bs, and look where it got them. Get real with yourselves Subway, even the highest priced thing on the Jimmy John’s menu is only $ 7.50.
