So disappointed…
The cupcakes look lovely. My fiancée and I went back and forth for a couple of weeks figuring out an order for an event. We were quoted a price for a large number of cupcakes that we agreed to. When Amanda called to finalize the order, she asked if it was for a wedding. When we told her that it was, she tacked on an extra 50 cents per cupcake.
We told her that we didn’t want any extra services, only the cupcakes we had agreed to over e-​mail (numerous e-​mails over 2 weeks) but she stayed firm, declaring that «It’s the store’s policy».
I don’t want to use a store that has a «wedding tax». You might. But now you know that Amanda’s Cakery charges one!

Always a delight to stop in at the Cakery! The girls are so nice and the cupcakes are amazing. Amanda makes the most beautiful cakes and they taste wonderful!

I always jog by this place and one day I decided to check it out. I tried a carrot and red velvet cupcake and after that I was hooked! There’s a secret recipe which keeps everybody in town coming back for more. The cupcake icing is better than homemade and is indescribable. Also, the cupcakes are moist and will melt in your mouth. Amanda’s staff is extremely helpful and the store is very clean. I referred a friend to Amanda’s to bake a birthday cake for his girlfriend and the birthday girl said it was the best she has ever had. Needless to say this place is a must stop.

Super awesome bakery specializing in cupcakes and cakes. The staff is super nice and attentive. There is free wifi and a nice little eating section.
The cupcakes are absolutely delicious. Nothing dry about them at all. The frosting, oh the frosting! Delight in the buttery goodness that is the buttercream frosting.
They are starting to offer cookies as well here, and those are also amazing!

All manner of flavors at this little unassuming bakery on Cotton! Red velvet was my favorite, but we also tore into key lime, raspberry with lemon icing, tiramisu, almond with buttercream, etc., etc. — the list of yum is neverending. To their credit, the cupcakes aren’t dry, either — they are moist and delish, which shouldn’t be a feat for a purveyor of cakes but which I find is often a seemingly unattainable (basic) standard that most can’t achieve. Kudos on getting this right, Amanda’s Cakery! Lots of restaurants in Macon hawk the wares from this little gem too, so even if it’s closed when you pass by, you may yet be able to find traces of the goodness elsewhere in town if you look carefully! (Case in point Market Café… just sayin!) :)
