CFM Urgent Care

This place is a crock! Just go to the ER… At least your child can get seen there. This place tells you that its about 45min wait, no one comes in, its been an hour and you ask. They tell you «well its noon so it probably wont be until 1 now.» Bull… Your docs need to take separate lunch breaks! Id rather drive an hour to Columbia and actually get seen. Never coming here again

I was in Missouri because my father had been diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer. I was taking my mother back & forth between Callao & Columbia every day. A week into this, I became ill with a sore throat, cough, headache, and body aches. I went to the urgent care in Macon.
I got there about 5 minutes after they opened. There was only a front desk person who told me it could be a half hour or so before the test of the staff hit there. They had to drive from Kirksville & evidently didn’t factor in the drive time.
It was maybe 15 minutes later, and I was seen. The nurse who took my vitals was good. She swabbed for strep. I ended up seeing either a PA or nurse practitioner, I can’t remember what she was.
So, I was negative for strep, so I was told to treat my symptoms with over the counter meds. That took all of 10 minutes & I was back out the door.
Two days later I ended up in the ER with pneumonia. The ER doc could tell by my cough I was terribly I’ll and she hadn’t even seen me yet! I ended up on antibiotics, cough medicine, pain meds for the throat, and a steroid inhaler so I could breathe.
I can’t recommend this place unless you have a paper cut.
