An OK venue with very little charm but convenient to the interstate for travelers and a brand new Marriott hotel that joins it is super nice! Not the best acoustics for music venues either. If you get any food here, the fries from the stand are freaking awesome!!! Most events here are free for kids 2 and under. You can also buy tickets from the window here and avoid those outrageous charges from Ticket Master!!!

Évaluation du lieu : 1 Atlanta, GA
I recently attended a 3,000 attendee conference at the Macon Centreplex and enjoyed very little about my experience. At first, I thought it was because of a poorly organized convention. While part of my experience might be due to that fact, a big part of it was also caused by huge inconveniences and oversights present at the Centreplex. First, signage is a huge issue at this location. From no signs coming off the interstate, to no signs indicating parking entrances, to no signs indicating the building main entrance, the lack of designation leads to serious frustration when trying to heard thousands of people to do anything. Secondly, they only had one concession stand open for thousands of people, and there are no other restaurants, gas stations, or convenience stores within walking distance. Vending machines once emptied of all their contents«ate» dollars. Needless to say, the lone concession stand also eventually ran out of food. When they had food, the only options they had were hotdogs and chips. When they began running low on food, they offered up cold hotdogs since they didn’t have enough time to cook them to satiate the hungry masses of an all day conference. Now I understand that hotdogs are already precooked so it’s not like these were raw, but the thought still disgusts me and seems to present serious food safety concerns. The main entrance of the facility is pretty and new, but you quickly realize that it is an addition and many of the back rooms are old and dated. FInally, the bathrooms were disgusting. By 3pm on the second day, the odor emanating from them smelled like downtown Athens on a Saturday night. Toilet paper and paper towels were nowhere to be found, and the built-in hand soap dispensers were completely empty. Refill hand soap packs were tossed on the counter and were a mess. I did not see any staff members servicing the facilities until our convention had adjourned. If you are considering booking a large scale event at this facility, I highly recommend that you seek to address these issues explicitly in your contract, or look elsewhere to host. The two positives going for this facility are its location near the heart of Macon in the center of the state, and the brand new Marriott Hotel that now adjoins it.
