I loved going here more than I expected. To be honest, I probably never would have gone to the theatre if going to a play hadn’t been assigned to me by my English professor. The specific play I went to was«The Shadow Behind the Flame: the Anjette Lyles Story,» about a series of murders that actually took place in Macon. My main goal was to get through the play and write an essay, but I ended up enjoying it a lot. It’s not a big theatre, but it was large enough. Good sound, good acting, and I know from the brochure a number of the cast do plays in Macon regularly. I’m not going to lie, though. There is one thing I didn’t like — the smell. If you’ve ever visited an old church, then you know what smell I’m talking about. Well, take that smell and crank it up to 11 and you have the smell of the Macon Little Theatre. Of course, even with my dislike of the smell, the experience was really great and I plan on going back to the theatre sometime soon.
