I was very displeased with our experience. I was charged for a regular size when I ordered a small and when I inquired about it I was told that it was because the toppings went over the edge of the cup.(4 toppings) When that happens, they charge for the next size cup. NOWHERE is this posted in writing in the store. In fact, the reason I got 4 toppings is because multiple signs in and out of the store say«UNLIMITED Mix-ins» and«UNLIMITEDTOPPINGS, one price». I talked to the manager and asked if it was posted somewhere about the price difference for more toppings and she said no. I told her I would pay what I owe but they really should post it so other people know. Or at least tell the customers when they have reached this topping limit so they know to stop! Her response was«ok.» No apology, no eye contact. Her customer service, especially as a manager, was awful. We will not be returning to this store.

I love Marble Slab. No other ice cream parlor tastes as good and they are getting hard to find with all of these frozen yogurt places popping up like crazy. I went here yesterday — this would be my 2nd visit. Let’s just say that the customer service I had yesterday was phenomenal. The only worker there was a lady name Christine and she had such a bubbly personality it immediately brightened up your day. She nearly fed me the whole store in samples and informed me of a sale — which I did end of buying and was very personable. If you’ve never been they have — hand made ice cream, specialty ice cream creations, ice cream cakes, ice cream pizza pie, milkshakes, quarts to take home, waffle cone/bowls, regular cups for ice cream. The bar had about 20 flavors and they have more in the back if you’re looking for a particular flavor — Christine was nice enough to look for me when I told her how much I really missed that chocolate hazelnut flavor — she found it back there and gave me some. The waffle cones are dipped in — chocolate, white chocolate, heath bar, butterfinger, and regular waffle cone. They offer catering and birthday parties and things for kids too. You also can sign up for emails and get a free ice cream on your birthday. The place was clean. There are tables and a bar area to sit at. The bathroom was clean. The counter where the ice cream was mixed was clean. Overall it was worth the 40 min drive b/c CHRISTINE Is the BEST!

I believe my problem is I was born in the late 50s. My Mom made ice cream when I was growing up. When she made strawberry ice cream it tasted like ripe sweet strawberries. Alas at the Marble Slab I ordered Black Cherry. It had no cherries in it and it had no cherry taste at all. Plus my ice cream had solid frozen chips of ice in it. Needless to say I give up trying to find any true homemade ice cream unless it comes from my own kitchen. If I want to go out for ice cream I will just spend my money on Ben and Jerrys from the local grocery store that taste a 100% better than the Marble Slab.

If you’ve been to a Marble Slab, this one is typical. If you haven’t, it is one of those places you pick you icecream and mix-ins, they mash it all together(on a marble slab — go figure) and plop it in a cone or cup. They have awesome cones here that start out as waffle cones, but the insides are coated in chocolate and then covered with candy — like Butterfingers or Heath bars. Nice treat for the kids or a good clean date. They also have cakes.
