Way back when I was a little boy, my family and I went to Key West, FL and I had conch fritters for the first time. I remember them being delicious. Now, flash forward just a few short years to present day when I sit down at a small restaurant in Macon, GA, open up the menu and see«conch fritters» right there alongside a bevy of traditional Jamaican dishes. My eyes widened, my heart beat just a little bit faster, and my mouth began to water. Alas, it was not meant to be. They were out of stock. They were also out of about a fourth of the items listed. Le sigh. However, once I finally did find some food that they had, I was not disappointed. The service is always great and the food is very good. They also(sometimes) have delicious drinks available, such as cucumber juice. The jerked pork came with the ubiquitous red beans and rice and Jamaican stir fry. So, I’m torn. The food that they have in stock is good, but you’re guaranteed to ask for something on the menu that they just flat-out don’t have. Oh, and there are random days when the restaurant is just closed for no apparent reason so you might want to call ahead to make sure they’re even open.

What a fabulous place. Food is out of this world. The juices are also awesome. Staff friendly and attentive. The owner came out to greet us and chat and told us about the fresh conch he is bringing back from Miami this week. He makes all the food himself and was a really nice guy. We will definitely be back.

I give it 3 stars because they admit to being americanized. Jerk just isn’t jerk without the heat. Beautifully presentation on the food as it is brought to your table. The iced tea is way too sweet and on the weak side. They are kind of pricey but they give you generous portions to compensate for the price. Went with my sister. She ordered the oxtails and I had the jerk chicken. The oxtails are good but it’s nothing special. And well, the jerk didn’t have the signature heat. I crave hot/spicy foods. I’d go back whenever i’m feeling lazy and I don’t want to cook(plus would like to have leftovers). A great place to introduce someone to Caribbean food who has never had it before. It’s well worth the trip. I like how they give you somewhat of a gourmet dining experience along with traditional culinary delights.

Wow, really enjoyed the food. We lunched on curry goat, oxtail, beans and rice. Topped off the meal with ginger beer. Delicious!

I was so excited to find a Caribbean styled restaurant in Macon! It was a lonnnng trek from Macon to this place but it was worth the drive The interior is very clean and tidy but not what I was expecting for a Caribbean styled restaurant. Lots of purple and fake roses on the tables… ummm okay? The place is not busy at all! I went around 6:30 on a Friday night and there were all of 3 people there, they even had live entertainment that particular night. It was very weird to walk into this huge eating area and have 1 booth occupied. From my time sitting at the bar I take it they make most of their money on to go orders. Customer service was good. They greeted me promptly and kept letting me know my food was on the way during my 20min stay. I give this place 3 stars instead of 4 because of the food. Don’t get me wrong, the food is good Caribbean food but not GREAT Caribbean food. If you have never had Caribbean food then don’t worry, this stuff will be great to you. To those of us that frequent Caribbean eateries, this food is just okay. One thing I noticed is there are no potatoes in the Jerk chicken. The red beans and rice are a little dry to. There’s just something missing that I can’t quite put my tongue on.(sorry) And WTH is up w/this macaroni you pay an extra $ 3.50 for?! For that price that ish better be the BOMB… it is not! It came in a separate Styrofoam container and on the bottom of the macaroni it had the paper lining still, extremely disappointing. I believe they grabbed a chunk of it from the freezer, threw it in the microwave and into the container. It didn’t even taste good, it wasn’t the traditional small macaroni noodles but rather the long ones that go in lasagna, and the cheese is like the Mexican pimento or something? Ugh, enough about macaroni just skip it. Overall this place is worth a visit, the food is pretty good and the staff is nice… the next time I go I will def pass on the Mac N Cheese lol.

This place is an oasis in a desolate area. The restaurant is brightly decorated and impeccably clean. The owner and wait staff are attentive and friendly. I have been to the restaurant multiple times and never disappointed. Generous portions of delicious food. Oxtails’ are my favorite go to meal. Though, you can’t go wrong with the brown stewed chicken, pork, salmon, or curry chicken. The goat was delicious(first time trying), as well; though be wary of small bones. If you desire stronger flavors you may like the jerk dishes(hot/spicy), or ceviche(salt/vinegar). They also feature homemade desserts and juices. Only negative, I’d prefer the TV turned down to fully enjoy the reggae music and conversation.

Oxtail — best oxtail i’ve had stateside hands down get that. my dad loves the jerk chicken and its tasty but a bit too hot almost overpowering of the flavor. Plantain is perfectly sweet and cooked deliciously. If you get a chance try their mango cheesecake it is to die for. any time I am in Georgia I go to this place, i do recommend you order it in advance tho because it can take a while.

I love Jamaican food and a co-worker told me about this place. I’ve been about 3 times within the last 2 months. So far I’ve only ordered the oxtail meal. It’s a little pricey $ 15 plate but Jamaican food is hard to find and they give you enough for 2 or 3 meals and the food is SOOOO good. You get the oxtails, brown rice and beans, cabbage/carrots medley, and 2 plaintains. LOVELOVELOVE the food. They are supposed to be opening another restaurant in another area. The restaurant — there’s enough room to sit and enjoy music on certain nights. The tables are cheaply decorated but nice enough. The place is really clean. Next I want to try the curry chicken or goat

I always order a combo plate of goat and oxtails ABSOLUTELYDELICIOUS!!! The ONLY negative for me is the hours of operation are not consistent with what the sign on the door states! I traveled from Robins AFB there yesterday(distance, time, & etc) and it was closed, today I’ve decided to call in advance, evidently it’s closed again? Unless there is an absolutely good reason for the closure which I didn’t see posted on the door. This is unacceptable… ghetto…no good business!

This spot is in a weird dead area between Macon and Warner Robins. My bf had visited the place for lunch and upon the recommendation of the manager returned with«moi» for the dinner session which included a live reggae band. It’s in an old shopping center at the Hwy 41/Hwy247 intersection. Upon entrance, I noticed the colorful walls and décor. Very nice and neat and relatively new. Tables had plastic purple table covers and fake flowers in vases on them but it was still ok. Better than nothing on the table. Everything was clean. Great. The band had set up already but music hadn’t started yet. They recommended we arrive around 8pm due to the crowd. We entered and there was one table of 5 there. So we chose a booth off to the side and ordered a combo plate of goat and oxtails. The fruit punch drink offered was ABSOLUTELYDELICIOUS!!! It was a mix of all types of fruit(He named all the fruits but I don’t remember, I’m sure mango was in there… lol) with a touch of real ginger and it was fabulous. Absolutely best fruit drink/punch I’ve had ever. The dish took a little while(Jamaican style) but when it arrived the presentation was great! While we were awaiting our food people started to come in and the band also began to play. Band = 2 guys… lol. But they were good. My bf bought their cd for $ 10(they also said they’d take any donation) but when we listened to it later it was NOTGOOD. *blink* So I tasted the goat first and it was a bit salty for my taste but still tender and good. Then I tried the oxtail and it was GREAT. The server said that the oxtails are the most popular and most ordered dish. I can see why. It also came with a side of shredded cabbage/carrot medley? Which was great and the standard rice and peas(beans). That was good. We didn’t have dessert but did see someone order the mango cheesecake and it looked good. Overall, the dinner was great, the music was great, the server was great. I would return. Location is kind of crazy but it’s worth recommending for caribbean/Jamaican food. The only comparison I have is Glyn’s Jamaica restaurant in WR. This restaurant is bigger and has a band. Food and music were good. Try it for something different!
