While the food is very enjoyable, I have had multiple poor interactions with the staff. They seen uninterested or poorly trained.

We would suggest the Olive Garden instead of this place. This was not a good Italian place. I have lived in Europe for 13 years and now work for an Italian company. I have visited Italy Manayer many times. tHis place has no real relationship to good Italian food. The chicken parma was poor. The sauce was like buying a bottle of La Rosa’s sauce and the pasta had a «funny» taste. We had three servings and no one liked it. The anti pasta was not anti pasta. It was a salad type mixture that resembles NO anti pasta I ever have had. It was terrible. The only good dish we had was a beef filet for 31 dollars which was good. I will not go back. I would rather go to the Olive Garden. The food is better!

My husband and I went for New Years Eve dinner. We had a 7pm reservation and got seated right away. We were seated by a big fireplace at a cozy table. It felt a little cramped, and the tables were all in little corners of the place, but it was a crowded night. I didn’t expect much else. There was bread, butter, and water already on the table. We had a very good bread with pepperoni and cheese in it. Service was friendly, but a bit slow. I can’t say that I was surprised by that though considering how busy it was and with it being a holiday. Our server was also helping with a very large group next to us. She did ask us specifically what kind of bread we wanted more of and cut it for us herself, which I found nice. I got a Caesar salad to start, which was very good. My husband enjoyed his broccoli cheddar soup. For my entrée, I got the linguini rosa(sundried tomatoes, pine nuts, Gorgonzola cheese, olive oil) with grilled chicken. My dish was good but the sundried tomatoes were very large and overwhelming in the dish. I wasn’t a fan of that. My husband enjoyed his chicken Parmesan. There was some confusion at the end of the meal. Our server went to get us a dessert to-go and my husband put his card out on the table for when she came back. A manager walked by and saw the card and took it, commenting in what seemed like a joking manner, that our server was in trouble. My husband awkwardly explained that she was just getting our dessert and that he had just simply placed his card on the table. Then the server came back with the bill to which we had to explain that someone else already took our card. The manager then came back with the card and things for us to sign. A little awkward, but hey, what can you do. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and our food.

Good Italian food. Good selection of beer, wine and cocktails. Antipasti di salumi is a good selection of meats and cheese. almost a salad with pickled vegetable(which are a little heavy on the vinegar) and lettuce. Soups are good, try the tomato basil if available. Beef ravioli was a special and was VERY good. Also a bakery, so grab a loaf of bread on your way out!

We invited ten, 13 year old girls for a dinner party at Ferraris to celebrate our daughters 13TH birthday. Manager could not have been more accommodating. She sat us in a semi private area, giving us a more intimate space to celebrate. The service was excellent, the food was good.(Girls ordered pizza, lasagna, penne with red sauce.) Simple fare but food came out fresh and fast.(We were there early evening on weeknight) Four adults had the Tortellini Florentine, Penne Mediterranean, Polo Basilico and Ferrari Salads. Very nice casual experience.

I bought a groupon for the lunch option at this place, $ 11 for $ 20 in credit. I thought that was a good enough discount that I’d make an effort to make a visit after the gym one day. To be honest, I wish I hadn’t. I think, even considering the price, I could have done much better with my time and money. I don’t like to be overly negative so I’ll lead with some goods — this place has a really charming location, very nice and quiet area with the patio that you could have a very pleasant lunch at during warmer months. The staff was very friendly, including apologizing to me that they weren’t very familiar with the group on process. The desserts and bread cases both looked absolutely amazing, I will have to try them sometime on a return trip! So then, I’ll move on to the food and my experience: First of all I got the Ferrari Salad and a Supreme Pizza, I asked to substitute chicken for sausage on the pizza and they were very happy to accomodate that request. When I first looked at the salad I got I was actually disappointed, it looked tiny in the to-go box. The pizza smelled amazing, looked even better. Unfortunately my first impressions weren’t very accurate, they had substituted the pepperoni out instead of the sausage, and though the sausage was large and looked very appetizing(as I said, the pizza looked great), it tasted… lackluster. There was no spice, no real taste, but it also wasn’t the typically over-greasy crap sausage you get tossed on pizza. Wide slices from a real, well made, but under seasoned, italian sausage topped the pizza. Even more disappointing, the middle of the crust was soggy and the toppings were unfinished. I get that there’s a lot of stuff on a supreme pizza, and that can be a challenge to manage with a Neapolitan cooking style, but I only ordered the supreme because it had the«Ferrari’s Star» on the menu! If you’re going to hold this pizza up as your best selection, it better live up to it. And it fell well short. The salad, however, was absolutely amazing. The Ferrari House Salad is well deserving of that little star, and at $ 9 I would absolutely buy it again, groupon or not. What looked tiny in the box, shook out to be a full sized meal salad, with wonderfully complimentary flavors. I’m normally not a fan of sweet(golden raisins) in my salad, but the vinagrette and gorgonzola worked to balance out that sharp sweetness with a soft tang. Couldn’t recommend it higher. All told, the good outweighed the bad — but just barely. It’s a solid 3⁄5 stars, and I would honestly give it a second chance if I lived closer. The salad is worth it, the pizza crust was delicious enough that I think I would love a different selection(one that could actually cook through, with flavor on the meat), and the prices seemed pretty appropriate for a nicer sit-down style place. But I wouldn’t be rushing back even if I were down the street, and I’m certainly not doing so from twenty minutes away.

Tucked away in a corner of Madeira, behind a CVS and Kroger, is this charming family-style Italian restaurant that takes me back to Friday night childhood dinners out with the family. Affordable, well-prepared Italian food in an unpretentious setting with solid surface — and it’s a bargain! The ambiance of whitewashed stucco, brick wall, fireplace and de rigeur red and white checked tablecloth draws many generations, sweet. Service is forthright and unpretentious — refreshing. Plentiful parking and a bargain. We’ll be back. A house made basked of cheese bread, rye bread and Italian rolls sat on the table. I began with calamari($ 8.95), tender and succulent, breaded, the small size was so generous it was definitely too much for the two of us. Served with lemon wedges and tangy red cocktail sauce. Next was a hearty Caesar salad($ 4.95) of meaty romaine lettuce perfectly chilled, shaved parmesan and best of all — anchovies, yes! Our entrees were the house specialty lasagna($ 15.95), unimaginably creamy with rich meat sauce and light red sauce, and tortelloni($ 13.95) in pink cream sauce and artichokes(pasta a bit overcooked, I like mine al dente, but to be fair I didn’t specify). The house chianti(at $ 6.75!) was earthy and blackberry solid, nice. Dinner under $ 50, amazing. We took home a chocolate enrobed cheesecake, black and white cookie and éclair for another $ 4.75.

Yep, 5 stars! Ok, so my rating is biased. I was looking for that quiet, relaxed adult type of place that was not so pretentious. My husband suggested this place and I’m glad we went, in spite of the rain. We arrived at ~8 pm and although we did not have reservations we were seated rather quickly considering the place appeared packed. Little did I know there was another seating area in the rear– which I rather liked. I ordered the linguini and it was so Delish! Now, I don’t like salty food and this dish had NO salt… Which allowed me to season it the way I like it. I brought some home probably because of the real home made bread they brought to the table(OMG!!!). My husband had the chicken Parmesan and the portion was impressive. The atmosphere was comfortable, the music was just loud enough to hear but not so loud you have to scream at your date. I ordered a tea which again I’m particular– the tea was not watered down or tart from sitting for hours it was on point. The employees were nice, helpful, respectful and attentive. We will go again.

This was the best Italian food I have eaten since I moved from Jersey. I can’t speak about the service as I got take out, but I would go here over any other local Italian Restaurant any day. I have tried several others, including Maggianos and this was the best! Not sure why people were so down on the age of the restaurant. Must have never been out of the country to see what stuff looks like in Italy. All the more authentic.

Great place for Italian food that’s not a chain. It may be a little hard to find at first, might I suggest 1 more sign to help first timers out. I love to support local small business & I’m glad I finally made it in. I was getting together to celebrate my birthday with friends & decided this would be a nice place to try. We were seated right away & our server was great at accommodating our table of 9. He was very personable & made suggestions on wine, appetizers, entrée & desserts. I had heard it takes a little while for the food to come out but with ordering the toasted ravioli, the complimentary bread & wine, our table was fine. The food was excellent & everyone out our table left stuffed & happy with their food choice. A few ordered pizza, lasagna, linguini carbonara, a penne dish, shrimp scampi & I ordered the chicken parmesan. They also have gluten free pasta which was nice for my friend who was worried she wouldn’t have much to eat. I would definitely come back for the food & friendly service. Other than adding another sign to find the place once you turn in. I would say a little updating would improve the overall experience. We may have been in the older part of the building, I’m not sure. But with a little sprucing up, I would gladly give them 5 stars.

A really good family style Italian restaurant that is not a chain! Located in a quaint little area the ambiance is nice and the food is solid too. One of the best dishes by far was the tortellini florentine. eggplant parm was ok, not bad just not the best I have had but everything else was great. The bread is awesome! I would definitely recommend giving it a try, especially if you like locally owned places.

It’s a hot day and we just a had a most lovely lunch in the shaded, beautiful back patio. The soups(classic minestrone and a creamy chicken and artichoke) were delicious and perfectly seasoned. The flat bread with sausage, grilled peppers and onions, and melted cheeses was superb. Crispy crust and chewy textures. The house salads were lovely. Some wine, mood music, and Patty’s attentive coddling … heaven.

This was my second visit at this restaurant, again using Groupon. We went in for lunch. To use groupon, we had to order sandwiches and soup or salad. The waitress was kind at first until I asked her if we could have different bread instead of rye bread which caraway seeds were not adapted well to our taste buds. Last time, we had a basket of assorted bread. This time it was not. I didn’t want to ask anymore since the waitress seemed quite annoyed already. With the groupon(half sandwich and half salad or soup), there was only one kind of salad you could get without paying extra. That is plain salad with greens, nothing fancy. We had Turkey Focaccia panini(recommended by the waitress, very good), lasagna(delicious), salmon bit sandwich(i liked it) and two slices of cake, oreo mousse and cheese. Since the bakery where you can purchase bread and dessert is not part of the restaurant, you have to go to the bakery to meet up with the waitress and tell the waitress what you want. Then she brings the desserts to your table. I loved their paninis and can’t wait till next time to try out more from their menu. Since the server already showed annoyed, i try to be super friendly and accommodating. She seemed better towards to our lunch.

I was in Madeira with friends recently, and we found our way to Ferrari’s because we didn’t want to do the 1-hr wait for dinner down the road. The food here was actually very good. I tried their garlic bread and a Caesar salad with calamari. The calamari was deliciously sweet and its texture was soft, not chewy– a sign of calamari cooked properly! My only complaint is that it took them forever to get the food to our table. Good thing we ordered the garlic bread or I know we would’ve become hangry! Everything felt slightly overpriced, and the atmosphere was nothing special. All together, I wouldn’t ever make this a destination restaurant, but I suppose it’s okay if you’re in the neighborhood.

Wonderful restaurant! The outdoor patio seating is fabulous! Probably one of the best outdoor seating areas in the Greater Cincinnati area! Large menu with so many choices. We were a group of 5 and everything we ordered was exceptional. The portions are huge too! I would highly recommend to anyone!

I’m not sure how you’d find Ferrari’s without knowing its hidden position. I hope you find it. It’s worth the search. They have a great salad— the Ferrari salad. Their outdoor seating is lovely. Their bread is so good. Hard not to keep eating it before our meal arrives! Many nice, Italian menu options. Take out service is easy and very good once home. Oh — and the have a bakery!

I went here for dinner one night and it was good. It has a large parking lot and is dimly lit. There is a fireplace, but it is a bit chilly if you’re not sitting right next to it. I kept my jacket on during dinner. There are several smaller rooms, so it feels very intimate. You do sit pretty closely though to the tables next to you. We got seated right away, but we also got there before the dinner rush. The food was good. I had the vegetable pizza. This is not your normal vegetarian pizza, which I was not expecting. It was basically a plate of vegetables with a thin crust underneath. I think if I had ordered a margherita pizza I would have enjoyed the pizza more. The vegetable pizza though was strange and I ended up eating the vegetables with a fork since it was so heavy the pizza broke if I tried to pick it up. I did appreciate that the vegetables were fresh though. I wish I liked my entrée better. It is a cute restaurant. The bakery items looked delicious, but I didn’t get to try any that night. I will give Ferrari’s another chance since I love Italian and think I just maybe didn’t order one of their better dishes. Unfortunately, one of the reasons I did that was because their food is on the more expensive side. I would recommend making reservations if you are planning on going around a meal time. Hope I enjoy my next experience at Ferrari’s more! My last experience was not bad, but it wasn’t outstanding.

Worst dining experience I’ve had since… the last time I ate here. To keep it short and sweet… 7:30 reservations. Seated at 8:20. Order taken at 8:31. Apps delivered at 8:57. Entrees came at 9:31… a full two hours after our reservations. No apology from a manager. No offers to comp anything… and oh yeah… WAY over charged. Not charged the prices on the menu. I would have complained but I feared it would take another two hours to get a response. My check was more than TWENTY dollars more than the menu indicated it would be! This is theft. And the«special» I ordered? Weak. Obviously a reheated frozen product. Do not eat here. It is a waste of your money. For some reason a review I posted about this place a couple years ago got deleted. I can only hope that anyone paying attention to what I have to offer sees this before it gets thrown out so that they don’t waste their time or money. This place is worth neither.

A Groupon brought us here, and I’m thinking our first experience is going to prompt a repeat visit. Since moving to Cincinnati almost a year ago, I don’t think we’ve tried many Italian restaurant. Tucked away off the street, you’ll find this local Italian place with a fairly cute interior and a bit of rustic charm. Some areas of the restaurant are a little more«rustic» than others(plaster on the upper walls in back dining area) but overall a positive atmosphere. No complaints about the service; everything moved along well. We started with the Stuffed Mushroom Patricia and Toasted Ravioli. The second appetizer features vegetable ravioli, and I think I would have enjoyed it more if it were just cheese. We ended up sharing the Tortellini Florentine for our entrée. All of the food seemed really fresh and of good quality. The lunch prices aren’t bad, but it does look like most things get more pricey for dinner. They also had some tempting offerings up front in their bakery area that we had to force ourselves to bypass this time around. There is a large sign from the street for the restaurant, but we still weren’t sure where it was when we pulled in. Another sign prompting drivers to drive down a little further might be more useful.
