Jacque and Company

The worst property management that I have ever dealt with. My family and I had just moved to Madera due to my husband’s new job opportunity. We found a house that we liked and contacted Jacque we were able to move into the home, got all settled in and come to find out the owner of the home hadn’t done a walk through throughout the house so they asked if it was ok to do it while we were living there. We said yes, of course and everything went well, so we thought., then we get a phone call from Jacque wanting us to change our contract because the owner wasn’t aware of how big our dog was (we have a golden retriever 70lbs) which we paid more into our deposit for our pet and were told it was ok to have her and for her to be an inside dog. so jacque encouraged us to move out within 3 wks of being in the home. so we did because we didn’t want to have any problems. she showed us another home that we loved and moved into shortly after, well that was the worst mistake ever! That house got broken into 2 wks after we just moved in. hence she told me it was a good neighborhood, peaceful and quiet. we contacted her and told her we had gotten broken into and that our front door was completely broken and she said that it was up to us to get it fixed and that wasn’t her problem. She also blamed the break in on my husband having a big mouth of what we had in the home so thats why we got broken into. well the door was never fixed the whole time we lived there we have a 2 year old and its just here and i all day while my husband works. we don’t know anyone in madera so i was scared to death i couldn’t sleep and was scared all the time. my husband had to screw boards on the door. we couldn’t use the front door at all. So after a while of not being able to use the door and jacque not wanting to fix the door we asked to end the lease due to these issue we were having with them. I looked over my rights as a tenant and i realized that she was taking advantage of situation and was trying to bind us by contract when legally you have the right to end your lease if any illegal activity were to happen to your house or in the neighborhood. We then had to get a lawyer to help. throughout this time this lady (jacque) was very unpleasant just didn’t care about the situation or to even try to help, every time we called and asked to speak with her, her staff would tell us she wasn’t available and were very rude and very unprofessional. The story just goes on. Till this day we are still having problems with them because they haven’t returned our deposit to us and its been past the 21 days. I will forever regret meeting her and ever even having to rent from her as she is very deceiving and not trustworthy
