Great service last night when we got our dinner. The nice lady threw in some extra egg rolls too. We ordered the chicken chow mien, chicken fried rice, Kung pao chicken and some paper wrapped chicken. Good food at an inexpensive price that fed 6 of us. Every place has off days but last night we had pretty good food. Unlike some of the other people posting.

Been here once with some friends. I had one of the lunch specials chow mien, fried rice, egg roll and chicken. Delicious!!! We also had the potstickers made from scratch so fresh and wonderful ! Must try them !

We avoided this place for when we first moved to Madera, due to negative overall reviews. We finally decided to give it a shot, and have gotten food from here twice so far. The lady helping us was very polite both times, and the food overall was decent. It’s definitely not as greasy as the other place in Madera we’ve tried, which is big for us. It is now our go-to chinese place in town. I think the Unilocal rating doesn’t really do it justice.

I love this place! Don’t be turned off by woman answering«LOONWAH. WHATYOUWANT?!» She’s actually really nice. Portions are big, price is cheap and the food is pretty good. Order your food to go, the place is pretty depressing

It’s not fantastic but it hits the spot. This place is inexpensive and has fantastic lunch specials. Serving sizes are big and get a lot for your money. Food isn’t fantastic but it is still good. I love coming home and ordering chicken chow mein from here!

I will start off with THECUSTOMERSERVICEISHORRIBLE. They have no combination plates for dinner, you have to order everything separately. If you order the broccoli beef you will have to order the noodles to go with it, unlike other places that come with the noodles or rice. The noodles were over cooked and served with a pool of soy sauce. The broccoli was actually really good, crisp. Just trust me on no combination plates for dinner because if you ask the lady more than once she will flip out and be incredibly rude making sure you know that she thinks you are stupid. My kids couldn’t believe how she had no manners. The place was quiet, kind of a stale atmosphere. Being as it is a hole in the wall I was not expecting a ton of fancy. After a long day at work I was not prepared to be treated like they were doing me a favor by letting me be there, was not at all treated like a paying customer. The 2 stars was for the broccoli and the fact that it was quick, other than that I would say if you want a good meal and atmosphere for your hard earned money go ahead and skip this place it’s not the one

This is a hole in the wall joint. I see a few people really bashing on this place in a few other reviews, but lets face it, as far as Chinese food goes this is probably the best Madera had to offer. I still haven’t had decent Chinese food in this town but as far as taste goes this is probably as good as it gets. This is a hole in the wall joint. I came here during lunch, there were a few people mostly regulars and the waitress knew exactly what my friend was going to order. Can’t say that about most places anymore. I got a meal for $ 5 at lunchtime. Chowmein noodles and fried rice were good as far as flavor and texture goes. It’s plain noodles and rice(no meat or vegetables) and a regular serving of the meat dish of choice. I’d be willing to pay more with fresh vegetables in it but you can only expect so much for a $ 4 plate.

YUCK! YUCK! YUCK! Mala S. you couldn’t have said it better this place ISDISGUSTING! I ordered takeout special D1. Believe me there was nothing special about it! Sweet-N-Sour pork? I don’t even think it was pork HELL I don’t think it was meat! Chicken fried rice? Slimy chicken and I think the rice was made the week before! The Egg Rolls? The cabbage was burnt and because it was cut in strips so thin when you bit into it all the cabbage came out in a long clump. It looked like when you clean out your hairbrush. NASTY! I couldn’t get this stuff in the trash-can fast enough! DON’T EATHERE! TRUSTMEONTHISONE! Unilocal asked about ambience but it doesn’t list DIRTY/GROSS. Not good for lunch, dinner, just NOTGOOD!

I frequent this joint. While the joint looks like it has its age affecting the resturaunt and usually empty when I go, it really is a hole in the wall kind of joint. The prices are dirt cheap and you can get like 4 – 5 entrees for about $ 20. The portions are large and they kinda skimp on the meat ingredients but hell its so cheap you get bang for your buck.

Why is this place even open? First off it’s lonely, I can see why. Really needs to be updated. The lady who attended us does not know what customer service is. Asking your customer«so what do you want?» isn’t what you would like to hear as they are taking your order. We ordered two lunch specials, cashew chicken and beef broccoli with potstickers on the side. Disgusting after taste, you can tell the ingredients are way past their expiration date. The potstickers had an odd odor and tasted so bad. The only things that were okay to eat were the rice, noodles, and the broccoli. I did not finish my food and of course I have a stomach ache. Never again ! Save yourself the dissapointment and do not even consider eating here. If I had more hands I would give this place more thumbs down !
