Madera District Fair

Just watched One Republic at the Madera Fair and all I can say is that they kick ass! We drove 2 ½ hours to get there and under the desert like weather I wasn’t so sure if the visit was worth it. I was wrong! Gotta see when their next concert is! Madera Fair was awesome because One Republic was playing!
Just a few other highlights:
— parking was free (parked at Lowes)
— food was decent. Enjoyed my corn lathered with extra butter and powdered with chili. I didn’t dare to eat the fried twinkies, fried Oreos, eggrolls on a stick or the chocolate covered bacon! Others though seem to enjoy it.
— the magic acts and hypnosis show were bland
— the pig race was interesting and fun to watch. Never seen one before.
— didn’t ride any rides, but wish I got on the ferris wheel. There were rides for little kids as well as for the older ones. Lots of dizzy spinning rides!
— entrance to the fair was $ 7 or $ 8.
— out concert tickets were $ 20 to be upclose. If we paid for just the fair entrance, we would still be able to enjoy the concert from a distance.
