This place really screwed my nana over well specifically the social worker Paula. The state basically rips nursing homes a new asshole when somebody checks out without medical approval and I was telling Paula at the end of the day we have to do what’s best for my nana, if my family wants to hire private help nurse and PT and bring her home we would. THENEXTDAY she walks in during the peak of my nanas morphine medication high and has her sign paperwork to transfer to a shit facility in oakhurst I’m guessing so that if we did in fact check her out that already shitty facility would get the blame and not madera. Also my nana got bed sores because nobody was really pushing her to do anything. She had a spine fusion surgery and the day she came home from it she fell and broke her tail bone of course there’s going to be pain but you don’t drug someone to the point they can’t even talk. I’ve never seen my nana so incoherent in my life. The social worker seems to only care about keeping beds filled because when we did finally get her surgeons approval to discharge I’m told that they still won’t be discharging her because the doctor on sight hasn’t given approval. Hmmm funny Paula how you had a new answer every time I came to you fulfilling your previous requirements. She used the excuse that my nana couldn’t be discharged because of bed sores. She wouldn’t have had the bed sores if people would have done there jobs and pushed my nana more in physical therapy then getting her in her chair for about 10 – 15 minutes before they let her complaining get to them. Most people there are tired of there jobs and could give a shit about there patients. When you have about 10 – 15 patients trying to escape a day you know something’s up. Anyways my nanas better off at Oakhurst where they give her physical therapy twice a day for two hours even though it’s a very shitty facility. Whoever ends up reading this from that facility needs to investigate Paula’s actions. Social workers are supposed to care about the well being of the people they serve not the money there making by keeping the beds filled or worrying about how the state will treat them if someone’s family decides to discharge them. When my nana comes home you better believe we will pursue this matter. So sorry madera If you thought you could get rid of us so easily. You seriously screwed the wrong family
