Sadly, this Squeeze Inn location has closed. Too bad Madera couldn’t support it enough, perhaps it just wasn’t populated enough? I went here every month when I was up here working the area. LOVE the Squeeze Inn Cheeseburgers, now I’ll have to wait until I get much farther North to enjoy one.

My husband is on the quest for the perfect burger. I heard of squeeze inn and when we were searching for a place to stop on our way home from Fresno we decided to try it out to mark it off of his burger bucket list. The first thing that greeted us was a sign ‘going out of business soon’…not a great sign right? We almost left but we were tired and hungry. We ordered and asked what was up with the going out of business business. The explanation was vague but what we gathered is that they’re no longer going to be ‘squeeze inn’ but will likely continue serving the same food with additions to the menu and a different name. Our burgers came and they were decorated with a large cheese skirt — yummy! They were a little undercooked for my taste so next time I will ask for mine well done. The fries were fresh and good. The service was good. Some improvements. The place isn’t dirty but I get a little grossed out with a greasy feeling menu. The bathroom could have used a little more attention. There were several employees hanging around. I couldn’t tell if they were all working but when things could use attention it’s bothersome to see folks hanging around(maybe their shifts were over and they just like each others company?) All in all its a great place just needs some minor improvements.

This place is alittle pricey, but the burgers are good they have real milkshakes and the restaurant is kept very clean! they aren’t in the best location and unfortunately they posted a sign saying they are going out of business.

My partner and I finally made it here. Folks in the area, go and check em out! The staff was so nice! We both had the special: Squeeze Burger with cheese, drink, and fries.(We subbed the fries for onion rings.) Total for both of us was $ 21.60. Totally worth it! Ingredients were fresh. Your Burger has, besides cheese, mayo, mustard, pickles, red and white onions, and tomato. Sadly they might be closing soon. So folks, go! You won’t be disappointed.

We stopped here while driving through Madera. I used Unilocal and was pleasantly surprised. The exterior do the customer service and burgers justice. We ordered a double, single and two kids cheeseburgers(added bacon and avocado spread) with regular fries. The«skirt» is melted cheddar cheese and is huge! The beef is perfectly seasoned. I probably should have gotten a jr size, the burgers are a good size unlike what a previous reviewer claimed. Maybe we had good luck that day… Who knows. The service was great! The food came out so fast! The place was cleaner than most places too. Id go back if in the area. This burger is the best around! Beats Dog House Grill’s ABC burger. The next best burger around is in Reedley at the Quick Fire Grill. A little pricey, but definitely worth it.

Melted cheese and warm environment; this place is a great joint. Burger specials are worth it: burger, fries, and drink for under $ 10! The cheese skirt is a nice twist to the regular cheeseburger. Just rip off the cheese and put it on the fries, it tastes great!

There is no reason to wait for 45 minutes for food thats not correct. They have had a few chances and everytime they mess up my order and takes way to long.

MY father love this place. Clean family owner burger joint, what not to love? The burger was just ok. Great bun but the meat to bun ratio was sub-par. Big nice bun and a small patty. I asked the server how big the burger was and she said it was«huge, really big». I was disappointed. Service was great and decent burger, just too much bun

This is my second review of this restaurant. My first focused on the price and an unfortunate use of what appeared to be a dirty ice bucket. On my second visit, it was clear those two issues were addresses. In my first review I said the burger was tasty and the unique cheese skirt was different and provided a nice cheese appetizer. Like the first time the burger on the second time was very good. The buns and toppings were extremely fresh. I did not eat the lettuce because the grease from the cheese was all over it. But honestly I don’t usually eat the lettuce in a burger anyway. The first time my single burger, fries and soda was around $ 15. The second time they had combo meals and mine was less than ten bucks. Still a little high but manageable for a family of four. This place will be a monthly stop for the family. The one thing I don’t get is the waitress service. I don’t think it is necessary. Just makes me have to tip for a burger joint meal. The owner could cut back payroll by skipping the waitress. Also I don’t know that the owner has gotten any real benefit from the Squeeze Inn name. There was a lot of hype from the original restaurant being on Diners, Driveins and Dives. I don’t think that exposure has translated to success in Madera. Not knowing what the franchise agreement says, I can only assume the royalty payments is one of the reasons for the higher price. Check out their new combos. They have one for a single burger and a double. You save a couple bucks and you get a great cheeseburger. The only reasons for not giving five stars is the location and the price. Otherwise this is a place you need to check out for lunch. And they are now open after church on Sundays.

Came here while visiting town because my boyfriend heard about this place on tv. I looked up this place and i thought it was very interesting because I have never seen a cheeseskirt before! We ordered our burgers to go since the place we stayed at was only 15 mins away and we ate it immediately upon arriving home. Service– The lady at the register was very nice and friendly. She took our order and asked if we wanted water while we waited. Our order was ready in about 15 minutes. Food-I ordered the burger with pineapple and teriyaki while my boyfriend ordered the double cheeseburger. It was good but it was not amazing. i thought it would look much prettier but it was one of the messiest burgers i have ever eaten. It was good but it was not amazing and it was full of grease. My boyfriend’s double cheeseburger was huge and his burger was really messy to eat also. Our side order of fries were average. There was nothing special to it and it was dry. I tried every way possible to take a candid picture of the food but it didn’t work. Maybe if we didn’t take it to go, it would look better but who knows. I would try this again, but I wouldn’t crave for it. Overall, it was worth a try.

My cheeseburger was fat and delicious! The bacon was thick and the cheese was real. The service was warm, welcoming, and helpful. I would definitely go back. They had a big outdoor patio for nice weather days. Good place to have lunch with your family. Inexpensive kids menu.

Today the food took exceptionally long… :(advice to the owner have more staff on hand for the weekends. One fry cook and one waitress is going to make you loose a lot of customers… Four orders ahead of ours and no one has received their food. Oh and make your food handlers wear gloves I didn’t like the idea of the fry cook handling the register and touching the walk-up window! That’s really un sanitary!

I had heard about the famous Sqeeze Burger with cheese, so I decided to take a trip to Madera to check it out. The restaurant is in a remodeled older building, and looked clean, but nothing special. It’s kind of confusing when you walk in because it looks like a fast food place, but then a waitress came and seated us and took our order. The first thing you notice when you look at the menu is the high prices. The famous cheeseburger I spoke about costs $ 8.00. That’s without fries! Now, I don’t mind paying for a good burger in a nice restaurant if it’s really good, but unfortunately this place looks like an old remodeled burger joint. As for the burger itself. It was ok. It was decent sized, and the melted cheese thing was cool. But, it had no seasoning, and wasn’t worth the high price. The fries were good as well, but the extra cost put the price at $ 10.00. My wife got the tacos which looked ok when she got them, but were filled with some generic store bought salsa. When I say filled, I mean filled from top to bottom of the taco shell. My wife was digging through the salsa looking for meat and found maybe two pieces. Overall, this place has ok burgers, but without a change in prices I don’t think they will last long. We were there at around 12:30, and the place was empty. Our bill for our meal for 2 people was almost $ 30 for a ok burger and nasty tacos. Probably won’t come back.

DISGUSTING!!! Never again will I eat here again, what’s up with the hard blob of grease they call cheese around the burger, absolutely disgusting!!! And to top it off a cheese squeeze burger fries and tea that didn’t taste fresh. The price &17 and some change. Ridiculous price for the worse food I ever tasted. No AC. Wasn’t even worth the one star I just gave it one star to submit my review, I give it NOSTAR… Lin R.

I have been waiting for this place to open ever since I heard that it was coming to town, well weeks after they opened we all loaded up and finally made it. The hamburgers are big, and I mean big, salad was big, a lot of fries. I had the chocolate shake, man my stomach hurts I ate so much. The burgers were full of flavor, the chicken salad was so good. Service was good, the place was clean.
