Little Glasses Resort

I’m really glad that I didn’t read the reviews before I booked, because we really enjoyed this place. Disclaimer: we’re RV folks and didn’t have to deal with a lot of things people on here have complained about so take this review from a facility self-​sufficient standpoint. By reading some of the reviews and talking to some folks, there’s obviously some issues the staff needs to address. We had absolute blast at Little Glasses this past 4 days. The staff was extremely hospitable and we had a beautiful lakefront campsite with full-​hook-​ups. The relaxed atmosphere at the lake really reminded my wife and I of home in SC and we could have stayed for days. The store was really convenient and prices were not outrageous. They have beer, ice, treats for the kids and even BBQ. We ran in to the owners several times and they were just great folks and always asked us how our stay was going. I did hear from some of my tenting friends that the restrooms do need some work, so that aside, I had no issues my whole stay. The lake was really a treat as well. I highly recommend this stay to all my fellow RV’ers. I think you’ll find this trip worth a stay. PS, bring a Texoma fishing license with you.

Where do you even start with this place?! First of all, we get to our cabin only to find out that the air conditioner is broken! When we ask what replacements they have for us he tells us that there are only smaller cabins that don’t have enough places for all 10 of us to sleep. Seeing that there is no other option we decide to downsize to that cabin. When we wake up the next morning we go up to the office to talk to them and they tell us that we are going to be getting $ 40 dollars off each night, which we are content with, but he then goes on to say that he had already told us that and doesn’t know why we are bringing it up again. We NEVER had that conversation! He also said that he can now fix the ac of the old unit but we will have to clean it ourselves if we want to stay there, wth?!? Anyways we blow it off and low and behold the fridge and the window unit in one of our rooms breaks down! We try to stay positive and try to concentrate on taking the rental boat out and having a fun time! Well thats halted by the fact that the drivers seat of the boat is broken, yet they told us that they got $ 500 from the previous guest to fix it and they didn’t even fix it! We get back from a nice time out on the lake and the guy tells us that it will be about $ 80 worth of gas that we used. How on earth does half a tank cost $ 80? I call bullshit! To make matters worse he than said we broke something on the boat and it cost $ 60 dollars. All in all this was not a great experience! I understand that things go wrong and I’m a very patient person, but when someone treats you like they did and charges you extra money when they had no reason to, its ridiculous! I will not be going back and I suggest you don’t even attempt to stay there!
