I can’t argue with results! After just one adjustment I went from excruciating chronic pain at a level 10 to a minor annoyance pain level 3. I would have done a cartwheel if I knew how. If all you care about are results, you don’t need to read any further, this is the place for you. For details of my experience, read on… I had severe lower back and neck pain. I dealt with the pain for about 8 years but in the last couple years it had gotten a lot worse. I’ve always thought chiropractors weren’t real doctors but when I couldn’t get an appointment with my primary care provider and all the local urgent care clinics wouldn’t accept my insurance I called Dr Reggie Sehgal’s office for an appointment. I was thrilled that they could see me right away. To give you an idea of the pain I was in, I had to crawl to my medicine cabinet for Motrin. I took 1000 milligrams just so I could stand. My walk was a slow shuffle. I was holding back tears from the pain. Upon entering the clinic I was greeted by two friendly women at the reception area. I filled out the usual new patient forms then I was asked to take a VERYLONG questionnaire on a laptop regarding my pain. This part was pure torture! It hurt to sit so long answering the questions and my pain was so much that I could barely understand what I was reading. I finally got to see Dr Sehgal, he was friendly, upbeat, and seemed to care that I was in so much pain. He spent a decent amount of time with me. He ordered x-rays and said I had to schedule another appointment for that afternoon so he could have time to go over my x-rays. With the kind of pain I was in, the last thing I wanted to do was wait several hours for an adjustment but I agreed. When I came back I was shown my x-rays compared to normal healthy x-rays. I could see what was causing all my pain but Dr Sehgal put my mind at ease when he said over time the damage could be repaired. Dr Sehgal had one of his assistants go over the pricing information with me. My insurance covers 18 visits but he wanted me to come in 36 times, get physical therapy, buy a bunch of vitamins, and some other equipment. Mind you, I was still on the verge of tears from the amount of pain I was in. I get the feeling they were preying on that and hoping I would agree to a treatment plan priced at well over $ 2000. I said I wanted to see an itemized list of everything they are offering and the price of each. Instead I was shown a payment plan and asked to make a decision right then. I’m not the kind of person to agree to spend over two grand without knowing exactly what I was paying for so I only agreed to the office visits for adjustments. I felt better immediately following my first visit and scheduled three more for the same week. I’ve been to see Dr Sehgal three times now and plan to continue my treatment with him. Every time I go to the office I have to do an annoying questionnaire to check-in on the laptops they provide. Some of the questions don’t even apply to me, some are redundant, and I see it as a waste of my time. Dr Sehgal seemed very rushed my last two visits. He literally ran into the exam room and after my adjustment he ran out to get to the next patient. I’m okay with it but if it’s important to you to feel like you have your doctor’s undivided attention, to feel like more than just a number, then this might not be the right doc for you. I would have given the clinic five stars if it weren’t for the questionnaire I have to fill out at EVERY visit, and if they would have provided me with the itemized list of treatments and prices as I requested, but like I said, I can’t argue with results! I like Dr Sehgal, the clinic is clean, people are friendly, the wait isn’t too long, and the location is great.
