So Vincenzos sent me running into the arms of another pizza place, because they like to sleep late on Sundays… I was forced, begrudgingly, to run to Taorminas for my pizza lovin… sad…very sad… WAKEUPVINCENZO! Taormina’s pizza… I’d give them 2.5 Stars… but not quite three… I usually know within seconds of pile driving that first piece of pizza into my mouth, whether or not it will stand up to my man Vincenzo… and Taormina just didn’t…that crust… why? I liken it to saltines kind of… like a bunch of saltine crackers laid out slathered with sauce, cheese, and toppings… it’s eh… eh…nothing that great… We had salad too… Greek…I took one pepperoncini and popped it in my mouth, and it had a questionable sensation going on in the middle… I got scared for a minute… then I figured it was probably okay. and here it is a day later, and I’m good… Just wasn’t that into this pizza… next time, I shall wait for my main squeeze to wake up(OPEN) when in the area… Toodles!

Pretty standard conveyor belt pizza. I thought they kinda skimped on the toppings. The service was very friendly. I’m not sure I’d go back only because there a a few better options in town that are actually closer to my house.

Great pizza! Skip on the chicken wings and subs. We did not order any salads, so you are on your own there.

My buddies and I order this place all the time. Mostly on Monday night football. They have the best pizza around here. They have great deals for combo meals as well, wether you would like cheese bread or salad with your pizzas they have something for everyone. And there deep dish is the bomb. If your looking for a new place to try for a great pizza… look no further.

Once upon a time(late 90’s) I lived in Ypsilanti and ate at what I think was the original Toarmina’s – or at least one of the first – semi regularly and always thought it was the best pizza in town. So imagine my joy when, years later, living in the North Suburbs of Detroit they open up a Toarmina’s in Warren on Dequindre… just a couple miles down the street from where I work. So then imagine my dismay when a few years later that location mysteriously closed with little fanfare and turned into some random crappy pizza place. Then imagine my renewed joy when suddenly another Toarmina’s opens up just across the street from that closed location(this time in Madison Heights technically, but truly right across the street, right next to IndoPak/Phulkari). The pizza still tastes great. I normally go for square pies but Toarmina’s does round right so that is what I normally get here. Their Steak & Cheese pizza is my personal favorite, and if you’re particularly hungry or feeding a group their giant 24″ pie is a force to be reckoned with. Something new at this location which I have never seen before(bringing Toarmina’s into the 21st century) is a keypad at the counter where you can«check in» with your phone # and receive coupons for free cheese bread and pizza and whatnot after enough visits. And who doesn’t like free stuff?
