They need to hire more professional people or these college students need to get their act together and not wine like a baby in front of customers, this is coming from a waitress/cashier who’s been working for 5 years. Literally why are you swearing in front of me and complaining like a baby? Yes I understand it was busy but that’s not the way you act in front of customers especially if you want tip. Suck it up buttercup.

I’m so happy to have finally found a good bubble tea place. I’ve tried some other places in the area and was disappointed. The girl behind the counter was very helpful and I’d like to try some of the options on the dessert menu. They look delicious.

Best bubble tea in the area right now! I highly recommend Bambu. It’s always busy at night, so prepare to wait. The people employed there are college student-age, but I have not yet had an unpleasant experiece there. The service has been awesome and much better than service I have experienced by older should-be«professionals!» I waited for some time for my drinks one night(which I didn’t have an issue with seeing how busy it was), and the cashier was very apologetic. I also had a girl help me with recommendations and let me try different toppings to see what I liked. The bubbles here are amazing –sweet and chewy like they should be. I was home for approx. a week and a half and visited here 3 times in that time period! I highly recommend this place!

I have experienced really good bubble tea drinks from Chicago and have never tasted anything that compared in Michigan. I’ve tried many in the area and they all use powder. But this place uses REALFRUIT in their drinks and they use coconut milk and juice which makes the drinks not so sweet and with an extra health benefit. I love this place so much.

#1 the Bambu special is good and my bro tried the Honeydew smoothie per the reco of the girl at the counter(wink wink). The Honeydew smoothie was something to die for. The best. Will definitely return for more.

I’m definitely a fan! I only wish I lived closer. The good thing is, it’s next to the Phở place so you can get your phở and then your che for dessert(although your belly will be exploding)! Beans in your dessert drink — Weird right?!? :) Trust me — it’s Good(and healthy!) We had this chain in Houston, so it was a familiar concept to me. I like the combinations of beans and basil seeds and jellies or fruits in the coconut milk, with a big ball of shaved ice. It’s like the Vietnamese version of the Korean pat-bingsu shaved ice with red beans and fruits. Some things I like — pandan jelly, red beans, white beans, basil seeds… They also have the best milk tea I’ve had in Michigan so far. It’s not watered down cheap tea, and you can order it with more or less milk, and more or less sweetness. That’s great! That means it’s not pre-mixed and sitting in a big jug from 3 days ago. PLus I don’t like my milk tea too sweet. ALSO, it’s awesome that they have the egg pudding you can add to your tea! I’ll have to make the trip out here every few months to get my milk tea and pudding fix! My Fave.

I love the drinks but man, service can be horrendous at any given time. The cashier is friendly, don’t get me wrong, but don’t expect to get your order fulfilled first even though you were the first to place your order. You could be receiving part of your order after everyone else behind you in line gets theirs. Hopefully in the next coming months, this little mishap will be resolved.

I’m from Texas so I was happy to see a Vietnamese dessert joint opened in Michigan! Let’s start off with how small the parking lot is. :(yeah it’s definitely tiny lol. If you’re trying to find this place, don’t worry you won’t miss it. The Bambu sign is green and HUGE. Inside the place, it’s nicely decorated with a modern looking theme. The menu had a lot of options to choose from. If you have no idea what dessert drink to get, they do have pictures of the dessert drinks. My favorite is #10! In my opinion, it’s not too sweet. The dessert drink have all these different combinations in it(jelly, coconut, etc). I believe some people might not like it because they’re not used to it. But hey, it’s a Vietnamese dessert drink and that’s what we love! For $ 4.50(?), it’s not too pricey for a dessert drink. So, if you’re still spending $ 4+ for Starbucks but wanting to try something new, then definitely check this place out :).

Really good bubble tea! I would definitely come back if I’m in the area. I had a jasmine milk tea with black boba, and my boyfriend got a kiwi strawberry smoothie with black boba. We enjoyed both! The space is bright and has a decent amount of seating. They have an overwhelming amount of choices when it comes to flavors and add-ins(jelly, beans, pearls, tapioca, pudding, etc.) They offer teas/milk teas, coffees, smoothies, yogurt blends, and juices. I just wish they had non-dairy milk options such as almond milk.

I have to say this is the BEST boba place Michigan offers. I was so excited when I know it is opening in Michigan. This is a franchise store in multiple location including California. As a Californian/authentic Taiwanese, this boba place definitely live up to California standard. It offers a great variety of drink. This is a Vietnamese dessert place, therefore, it offers a great variety of Vietnamese dessert drink. When I come here, i usually get its Oolong milk tea or Jasmine Milk Tea. You can pick up to 3 toppings without extra charge. I usually choose egg pudding and boba/pearl. It also offers other topping such as lychee jellies, crystal boba, other types of fruit jellies, etc. I am so happy that Michigan finally has a authentic boba place.

Great place for a non-alcoholic beverage. The location is small so don’t expect a large party. The drinks have boba and gelatin add ins to add texture and sweetness to drinks. They have cold and hot beverage choices!

I am sorry to say but I am not a fan. This was my second time stopping in and both times I was disappointed. My first trip I got a lychee milk tea at the suggestion of the employee working. It was gross and I barely had 4 sips before throwing it out. It was so heavy on the milk that it was just too much. This recent stop I had a mango jasmine green tea which was supposed to be with mango pearls. It was served with tapioca instead which was no big deal but the taste was just not good. It had a really strange after taste from the jasmine that I just couldn’t get past. I think I will stick to my go to spot in Ferndale from now on when I want Boba.

My friend raved about this place so a group of us stopped by to try it out. She told us it can get busy but luckily there wasn’t a line. I attempted to order two desserts, out of pure glutton, but the cashier didn’t hear the second order so I said screw it and stuck with the cold Vietnamese Coffee with coffee jelly. Sad to say it was a tad too bitter for my taste, although I did enjoy the jellies even though the coffee flavor was subtle. I’m at a loss as to why, for how busy they are, they have so little equipment. A ton of people came in after us and they waited around 10 minutes to get their orders. If you’re successful, it would only benefit you to have the appropriate amount of resources on hand.

Madison Heights welcomes Bambu desserts! As a Michigander transplant from Houston, Texas. I was jumping for joy when Bambu opened. Tucked away in a small shopping strip next to Que Huong and Aikido, Bambu is small and brightly painted store that offers a wide variety is Vietnamese«Che». My favorites are #1 and #10. The pandan jelly is the star of the show. It is chewy and compliments nicely the coconut juice or milk. Quick tip: if you substitute coconut juice for coconut milk in some drinks, it’s an extra dollar. This boggles my mind that a simple substitution request would cost more. What’s so special about coconut juice vs. coconut milk.

I came here after a dinner with my brothers and fiancé to see what all the hype was about. I love che and bubbleteas, so I was pretty excited to try it. I like the décor. The place is small, so I’m glad we came a month after they opened since I heard they can get pretty busy. I just got back from a trip to Chicago, and while I was there I got Joyee’s watermelon smoothies 2⁄3 days I was there so I was craving a refreshing fruit smoothie. I opted for the Mango fruit smoothie with grass jelly and basil seeds. My brothers got the fruit lover’s che and a lychee tea with mixed fruit on the bottom. My Beau got the black milk tea with boba. Out of all of them I liked mine the least. My bros let me drink theirs since I liked theirs a lot better. Out of the four, I liked the fruit lover che the most. I wouldn’t get smoothies here since it does not taste like fresh mango, and more like an artificial mix. The Beau’s black milk tea was good, but not anything I can’t get from QQ Bakery. Bottom line: I’d come back here for the che, but I would not get smoothies here again.

Went here today with two friends, I had a «buy 2 get 1 free» coupon from the Save On flyer too which was great.(you can find those here, also: ) PROS: –Drinks were very good, and at $ 3.75(add-ons like bubbles, jellies, etc. included) they weren’t as pricey as the Detroit Bubble Tea Co. down the street(Ferndale). I still prefer Bubble Island in A2 but that’s much farther of a drive for me now, as I live in Troy. –Huge variety of drinks, add-ons, and flavors. MEH: –Parking lot is extremely tiny. Bambu is located on John R near 13 Mile, and there were two or three other businesses in the plaza, I believe. –The place was a little bit of a mess — bathroom was clean but there was stuff on the floor, and there were some paper towels and things in the main eating/drinking area. It looked like they just hadn’t had time to clean, or something. The place was very busy as well, it opened a few weeks ago I believe. I’ll go back another time and try some of the other drinks, as they were tasty — one of my friends got a coconut lychee one that I liked a bit more than mind(almond w/mixed lychee jellies).

So after months of lying to the general public about when they are going to open, Finally, FINALLYFINALLY they open, 3 months later. That’s ok, because I was like«WTF is Bambu anyways? Never heard of this sh*t before». Anyways they are a dessert/smoothie only place. Here’s my 2 cents. Pros: +Lots of Asians there. I feel like I’m back in the motherland. +Lots of drinks there. +Tastes fresh +The texture of the various toppings inside the #10 Bambu special is very unique. Cons: -#10 bambu special a little too sweet for me. I honestly don’t know what to say about a place like this. It’s unique, that’s for sure. Someone found a niche and filled it, and is seriously banking out of it. Somehow they found the area where lots and lots of Asian congregate, and gave us all something we wanted. Also, you can take your drinks inside of Que Huong next door, and vise versa. Cool! Let’s open another bambu and make serious bank. Who’s with me?

I went on Grand Opening day yesterday! I was finally super excited because they kept the opening day instead of changing it from July to September then to October. I love the many topping choices to pick from. So I got a black bubble tea with boba pearls, grass jelly, and red tapioca and my friend got red bean thai tea with boba pearls, mango jellies, and egg pudding. The only part that was eh is because I think there weren’t many employees so after ordering drinks, we had to wait for 30 minutes to get our drinks. But perhaps, after they get used to how to make each drink then the process will go faster. Since there are so many options on the menu, I can’t wait to try it all. Except for the pricing for desserts, I do feel that it is a bit costly. I do like that there is punch cards, so you spend on 10 bubble tea drinks and you get the 11th free. Regarding wifi, there should be a free guest wifi instead of having to ask for password for the secure wifi connection. I’ll definitely be taking more of my friends to try this place out!

So excited to have bambu finally be here. I love how all their fruits are fresh and made to order. Prices are very reasonable also. It’s a little hectic right now since tbey just opened. I love that they have the dessert drinks on there. Finally some vietnamese desserts gets shine on. My favorite on the lady so far is their jasmin tea w whatever flavor, #10, passion fruit, and taro lover. I don’t think u can go wrong with anything in the list.
