Again I enjoyed mysel. I’m hard to please. This place again and again is a go to! Everything is delicious. Salads to burgers to fresh fish and pasta. 5 stars for local comfort. 5 stars for beer choices. 5 stars for service.

Food is pretty good, typical bar fare with a bit more of an upscale focus. However, the beer list is awesome! I like how they also offer beer flights so you can try a handful of them! Definitely a great local sports bar /restaurant!

Me and my family had a great time at this restaurant. The food was amazing and the service was great! Both the nachos and chili were huge portions and tasty!

I came here with my boyfriend at the time for dinner on a Friday. It was fine. The menu is pretty standard bar fare with a few dressier options. Not sure why it was so so dark in here. Solid choice if you’re just looking for a casual bite, but it’s nothing to make a journey for. Good neighborhood spot.

Stopped in for date night with my wife one Friday night in the winter. They sat us right away. I had a burger that was made From a Combination of a few different kinds of meat and topped with pulled pork, it was mind blowing. Definitely recommend trying out 54 main and I can’t wait to go back!

Met a friend for dinner and drinks at 7pm. After happy hour, the crowds really thin out. No problem walking in to grab a table or a seat at the bar. We both ordered a glass of wine, pinot noir which was good. For dinner, my friend had the pork potstickers, which she loved. I enjoyed the grilled pear salad with almonds, dried cranberries, goat cheese with a raspberry vinaigrette. Yum! Great portion size, super fresh and delicious. Overall, great service and really good food.

Came here for dinner a few times after hearing about this place through my boyfriend’s co-workers. Really tasty food and personable servers. The dining area is spacious, but it was a liiiittle too dim from what I remember. Bar wasn’t packed from what we saw. It looked like a fun time and a good place to watch a game. Dinner selections off the menu are really good. I do appreciate a good steak and short ribs, and that is just what I got. The meats are tender, and the portions are just right. My boyfriend is a big pasta lover so he comes back for the Cajun chicken pasta– full of flavors and spice! I’m glad we checked this place out and will be returning for more soon!

Stopped in one night for a couple drinks. This is definitely the town bar. Everyone at the bar knew who everyone else was. Had the steak sandwich which was pretty good! Service was extremely friendly. Would definitely stop by again if I was in Madison

I’d give this a 3.5 but not quite a 4. For Saint Pattys day it was a decent choice as it was a decent crowd but not too crazy like some of the other spots. I ordered the chicken Milanese which was very good. I wasn’t impressed with the beers though, I actually felt they were flat.(Guiness flat on Saint Pattys day???). I’d give it another try as the food was surprisingly good but may go with a mixed drink.

So noisy and dark place. There is nothing special about here. Everything is average. Service staff is not bad.

My favorite burgers in NJ. Very good food, nice, low-key atmosphere and a nice beer selection. Staff has always been good to me as well. I’d definitely recommend the burgers first though!

I have only ever been here for brunch but the taylor ham egg and cheese mac and cheese is enough to give it 5 stars on its own. I ordered it the first time I went and its what brought me back the second time. The mac and cheese is so creamy and delicious and the saltiness of the taylor ham and taste of the egg adds such a unique flavor. Everyone ended up having a bite and saying how great it was. Please don’t ever take this off of the menu! Also the brunch drinks come in huge glasses and are quite tasty :)

This depends on whether or not you are going here for a meal or happy hour. I will say one of my favorite places in Madison to go for happy hour. Good happy hour specials on beer and house wines and five dollar appetizers. If you are trying to be healthy they have a hummus plate that comes with pita, cucumbers, celery and carrots. I haven’t been here for a meal in a while but I give strong support for happy hour.

Very unpleasant dinning atmosphere, too dark! Food was cold and greasy! I will not be back!

GREATDINER! Of course it’s on Main St in Madison with a dark feel of a pub. Our waiter Stephen was phenomenal, tended to all of our needs. Starters Calamari w/Marinara sauce– breaded crisp with splashes of salt hidden in the crevasses of its crunchy breading with a smooth transition taste of freshness as soon as you pass its crispy layer chewy and fresh! NoRubber bands here!(so I have read elsewhere) Philly Spring rolls– yup there a fried flaky spring roll with a crunchy goodness of meat and yellow american cheese(philly)and a hint of pickle. Entrée Hanger Steak w/Yucca fries– the steak was cooked to perfection(medium with slight redness#vampire)w and the yucca fries were crispy on the outside like a yucca but soft like mashed potatoe on the inside. 54 Bourbon Pasta-penne spinach tomatoes sausage with a lol k of spicy Ina light Cajun cream sauce. Everything here is great. Including dessert and cappuccino. I liked everything so much that when I come back I want something different because it’s guaranteed goodness!

Great sport bar atmosphere. The food matches the theme. 54 has a great $ 5 bar menu for the early happy hour. Later there are specials that make your taste buds water. If your in Madison stop by and enjoy a cold drink and French Dip. We also had the lobster chowder! Very good homemade taste.

The place is pretty big. The bar is huge(hostess stand behind bar) and the dining area large and clean. Nachos are good and I always order the French dip. The horseradish cheese is amazing! My friends love the burgers. They have a great beer list and even have live music sometimes. Waitstaff is attentive and even when packed, you don’t have to wait too long for a table. Nice spot :) Only complaint? They’re about 2 bucks overpriced on most items. Fun atmosphere and reliably good food :)

This one’s for Steve. Stopped here again with coworkers, picked up a couple tables near the back of the bar area and crammed in fifteen of us. The dark polished wood fit in quite well. A coat rack to one side of the back bar was helpful to keep our longer winter coats out of the way. Waitstaff was attentive and quick to take orders and clean the table — however, twice we were given beers that weren’t ordered, and once my beer came and they called it something else entirely(confusing the entire table). Tried a couple new appetizers and an old classic — the french onion au gratin soup was delicious as usual. The two new ones — disco fries(basically cut potato skins with a huge dollop of sour cream and some bacon) were soggy at time they started on the table and this new chili hot dog w/potato chip strips was interesting, but fell apart far too fast. Another fun night, though, and again, the draft selection didn’t disappoint. The cranberry ginger beer was delightful.

There’s nothing special about this place. Everything from the environment, food, and drinks was just OK. We had reservations for my sister’s birthday dinner but upon arriving, the host looked dazed and confused. After waiting a few minutes, our table for 9 was finally set up. I do have to commend our waitress. She was great… bubbly, friendly, and attentive throughout the entire night. The beers(without the Unilocal check-in offer) were $ 8?! My weak peach sangria was $ 13. And the fact that it tasted like juice didn’t help. I had the Waverly Burger, which lacked some of the cajun flavor the description said it had. We didn’t bother with dessert either… that’s how you know I want to leave.
