Time for an updated review! I’ve used AMR on and off for the past 10+ years. Sure, it’s not a chic boutique… it’s a scrap yard! But, having said that, it’s well run and the staff are helpful. AJ in the front office was great to work with when I brought in multiple truckloads (over 10,000 pounds total)…and even more helpful when I brought in my old F150 pickup. For this I wanted to keep the tires and rims… and Jose, the crane operator, picked up my truck, let me pull the rims off, and then moved the truck off my trailer.
They are open later now… and also on Saturdays…
If you’ve got scrap metal to sell, this is the place to take it! To avoid the newcomer’s issue that the other reviewer noted, give ‘em a call ahead of time and they’ll explain how their system works! (Oh, and AJ’s pretty damn hot as well! (grin))

A filthy place with unhelpful people and ridiculous hours. They close at 3:30 PM and are not open Fridays, much less Saturdays, so plan on hauling your junk over before work or over your lunch hour. Bounce down the rutted, dusty road to their «office» and try to figure out what they want you to do. It’s a place that the people who frequent it understand, but that a newcomer will find distressing and unpleasant.
