Amici Italian Cafe

We drive in from Watkinsville occasionally. The pizza is always good, but sometimes greasy. Buffalo wings are always great, especially the honey buffalo.
The staff does a great job in a tight space and we enjoy the environment. Overall we recommend it.

Went here late on Monday night. Super friendly service. Comped our drinks since they were slow in the kitchen.

Haven’t even gotten our food yet, and already have had the Worst. Service. Ever.
I understand the staff here is young, and obviously don’t give a shit about their jobs or the customers, but at some point you think they might at least appear to give a shit. But no, not today. We sat ourselves, was 4 minutes before we were acknowledged or brought water. Mind you, there was only 1 other table inside, and they were finished and just visiting. Outside, there are 2 tables, with a total of 3 guests.
After getting our water, was another 8 minutes before server came to take our order. Still no napkins or silverware. 5 minutes after ordering, server brought salad on her way by, but no silverware. I had to get up and ask the other server, who’s job must be to stand idly by the soda machine, for some silverware. She literally came over and dropped them on our table without saying a word. I’ve since eaten my shitty salad, wrote this review, and still no food. I will never eat at an Amici again. The service here demonstrates a commitment to fail that I’m sure starts at the top and trickles down. Madison deserves better than this.
Note– just got our «food». My wife ordered the Cobb salad. Server brings it «we put ranch on it because I forgot to ask»

Fork is filthy. Nasty filthy.
Mind you I had to get up and fill our waters myself, so asked her if she had any clean silverware, she gives us two more sets, but no apology.
Food was shit, but I didn’t expect any different, was just very hungry. Now, you can’t knock a shit place for shit food. They are what they are.
But the lack of fucks given by the staff here is stunning.

Good food and GREAT service. We stopped in this evening to grab some dinner as we headed back to Covington. Being in the service business, the wife and I are very aware of how people should be treated. Lauren was awesome! She was spot on. When we would think to ask for something, she beat us to the punch and was one step ahead of our needs EVERY time. We never even had to ask! We have eaten at other Amici restaurants and this one beats all. Highly recommend this one. Oh, and ask for Lauren!

I love this place! The slice and a salad special is the way to go. I like the vibe, it’s fits perfectly in the sweet town square in Madison. Plus, it’s two doors down from Antique Sweets chocolate shop. Our family would meet there many times and we would go back anytime!

Was not at all impressed. Recently moved to Madison and have been for the first and last time. Food was average and wait time was borderline ridiculous once we placed our order. In speaking to some locals they say the wait time is consistent.

I am a pizza connoisseur of pizza and they have excellent pizza. Service was above average. No waiting time at Sunday lunch.

I’m a local to Madison and have enjoyed Amicis for many years. The atmosphere can get a little loud at times, but they have great outdoor seating on the square where it’s more quite. Personally I generally get the fried buffalo chicken sub, but I also really enjoy their pizza. Service is always very friendly and generally very good.

Tomato bisque was fantastic. Grilled chicken sandwich was disappointing, but boneless wings were good. Bathrooms we’re kind of grimy.

Excellent pizza, tasty salad with homemade vinaigrette, very good spaghetti n meatballs. Service was prompt and friendly. Waitress seemed all about making sure we had a very good experience. Definitely recommend

Nice atmosphere and place was clean. Had some pizza while exploring town. Very good pizza and would have ordered more but didn’t want to eat too much while walking around. Large free refills on cokes. Kids loved it. Service was very good.

This is one of those places in a small town that you would not expect. Food is great, service awesome. Very small. Wish they would expand a little. Love it.

Amici used to be our go-​to for Italian. As of lately, the place isn’t worth visiting. Had dinner tonight for the first time in 6 months. We waited over an hour for our food. All of us had side salads to eat before our entrée. Salads and entrees came out together. One member of our group had ordered a chicken pasta, and it was served with no Chicken. He had to wait an additional 15 minutes just for three slices of chicken. Service was very slow, refills were rare, and the staff was loudly goofing around in the back while we were waiting for food. Until amici standards are back to what they used to be, we will not be back.

The food is good but plan on waiting. Did I mention it took forever. You’ll be waiting.

I always enjoy a trip to Amici’s. The staff is friendly and courteous but the food is the star of the show. Pizza, wings, sandwiches, and salads, you can’t go wrong with any of them. This is our go to location for our lunch meetings and take out for our employees. You won’t be disappointed!!!

I was in Madison to work on a commercial and we where trying to find a bite to eat the first night we got in. A bit late at 10:30pm We called and they were closing, but ended up staying open for us to get a bite. It was just great small town hospitality. The chef/​owner came out with our pizza and chatted with us for a few mins while his staff was closing up and putting the chairs on the counters! This place is a definite stop in this town! They are wonderful, friendly, and the food is great. All home made sauces and pizza dough! Thank you guys we’ll be back before we leave town!

We found ourselves in Madison, Georgia while driving across the country, looking for a drink and some grub. It looked like the whole town was in here too. It’s a casual joint, with all the friendliness you’d hope for in a small town local gathering spot.
They have a surprisingly thorough beer selection, and our waitress could tell us a little bit about each one we asked about.
I’m dairy free, which can be challenging (to say the least). I asked if I could have a pizza made without the cheese. Our waitress said no problem, and asked me some questions about my dietary restrictions to make sure I’d be totally ok with the food. We split a salad, wihout realizing it came with cheese, but when it was brought out, our waitress mentioned she’d left the cheese off, but could bring it on the side for my boyfriend if he wanted it. Impressed! I’m not usually looked after so thoughtfully.
One excellent way of finding out whether or not the pizza is made fresh in house is the cheese test: if they can’t make your pie without something, it means it’s frozen. Here, everything is obviously made fresh and to order. Deep dish, hearty pizzas, loaded with customizable toppings. I had all the vegetables, and only could manage about half of my personal-​sized pizza.
They do a weekly pub trivia here, which we stuck around for. Amici feels like a cross between your local watering hole, comfort food takeout spot, and casual family restaurant. A really nice place to stumble upon, with great service.

Great pizza. We always stop here when we’re visiting the old stomping grounds. I always have the pizza. This time I ordered two slices and they brought the second out as I was finishing the first so it was piping hot.
