I think that even giving this location 1 star is being generous. Being a first time parent, I appreciate all the customer service I can get. I’ve gone into this store several times, unfortunately due to necessity, but there were 2 crucial trips there where I received ZERO service. First crucial visit was to shop for car seats, no help, no acknowledgement. Second visit to look at pack n play’s was on a weeknight where service was slow. Barely any customers, but several employees on the floor. We asked for help twice with absolutely no success. I’d much rather drive my ass to Brookfield, WI and visit Buy Buy Baby. Get this store under new management please.

Reward Program — Today I learned that the East Madison store did not provide a decent explanation of the Babies R Us rewards program. They did not explain that the rewards earned would expire quickly, sometimes within weeks of the purchase, and did not explain how rewards would be earned or we would receive notice. So without having received any emails or mailings, I logged in today to discover all of the rewards points we had earned through our pre-baby purchases and gifts in December have expired without any word. We had our baby on January 16, and have learned there is nothing we can do about it. Basically, what I hear Babies R Us to say is, «Hey, new parent who has years of baby– and child-related purchases ahead of you, too bad about your rewards.» Basically, my understanding of this attitude is, «Go shop somewhere else where you mean more to that retailer than to us.» Amazon is looking really good right now. Target and Walmart close seconds. No rewards program, but at least they operate at face value. Babies R Us was typically a bit higher, but worth it for the rewards points. Let me have my rewards earned from pre-baby($ 10 and $ 50) and I will consider you for future baby purchases. If not, then I will consider other retailers.
