I don’t feel it’s appropriate to review physicians in the same format used to review restaurants, since so much of the outcome(in the case of a physician) depends on the patient. However I have to say that Dr. Baskaya, who operated on and cared for my mother in the spring of 2011, consistently impressed me as having that rare quality — — rarest of all in a surgeon — — humility. The other thing that struck me about seeing him at work over the course of a week or more, was that his staff adores him. I would not hesitate to place myself or any of my loved ones in his care. Since he’s a neurosurgeon, I hope that doesn’t happen, of course, but should the need arise, he will be my first choice.
