Chianti Pizzeria

Positive review based on good for an excellent Eat24 delivery. Ordered the food without speaking to a soul. This being said, we place a pretty normal order for an Italian place: a calzone, eggplant parm, and spaghetti (with meatballs as an add on [for our kid]).
Everything was fresh, made to order, no errors, and delivered on time. What more do you need for Italian delivery. (I will revise review based on future plans to order pizza, a much higher standard in NJ.)

ordered food, it never showed up and because they went to the wrong address they now refuse to deliver. not friendly at all wouldn’t know how the food is because the idiot driver never got it here and blamed it on me.

Hole in the wall place with food that is absolutely incredible. Great prices for generous portion sizes. Recommend the penne vodka and Neapolitan pie. Will definitely be stopping by for another meal in the near future. ⁵⁄₅

I have ordered from here 3 times. I can not stand delivery only based business, due to the fact that your food is always never arriving before an hour. Each time, over an hour wait. The first time I ordered, the pizza we decided on was a different price than was on the menu. My credit card was charged twice, which I was willing to let go, because thins happen. The second time, it was an hour and a half delivery time and half of our order was not what we had placed. The third and final time, the pizza I ordered not only took close to an hour again, it was another wrong order. When I called and voiced my complaint, someone in charge began to be curt in the phone, because I demanded my pizza be brought immediately. After a third time, I had enough. This same person brought my food and he was very confrontational. Now as we waited close to 2 hours for our dinner, my girlfriend was starving and had a slice from the first pizza. Not only was this place going to now charge us for both pizzas, this guy decided to tell me that they use the best premium foods and j don’t know quality. As we argued at my front door, he also told me I was a difficult customer. I said I was not paying twice for the pizza and to get off of my property. I called Rocco’s, which is close by. I was able to pick my food up in 15 minutes and when I told the what we just went through, Rocco’s comped us some dessert. I will NEVER eat at Chianti again nor will I recommend them.

I order from here regularly and the food always tastes fresh. The staff is ale sulus friendly when I call and the food arrives on time.
Their Capri sandwich on focaccia bread is fresh and delicious. Their bolognese sauce has a nice depth of flavor to it with a good blend of meats and you get a lot for your money. Their soups are made in house too.
I always know I’m getting great tasting food for my money compared to local Italian delivery. The only thing I haven’t actually had yet is the pizza since I usually just do sandwiches, salads or entrees.

What a wonderful find, the pizza is the best in the area, always hot and fresh. Everything is made to order, so we had to wait 40 minutes to have it delivered, but it was well worth it. If you’re looking for the lowest price call dominos, it you’re looking for the best call Chianti.

The specialty, the chianti pizza is legitimately the greatest pizza I’ve ever had. I didn’t realize pizza could be this good. It takes a while for it to deliver (around 45 minutes to an hour) but it’s worth the wait.

We live four houses down from Chianti’s. It’s a delivery-​only pizzeria. We ordered a pizza and it arrived an hour later! They charged us more than was stated over the phone for «delivery charge» and the pizza was COLD. Never again.

Waited well over an hour for delivery. Sicilian is really mediocre. Regular (round) pizzas are ok. Will not order again. If you think the Chianti pizza is «good» then you’ve never had pizza before.

This is definitely the best pizza right in Madison, there is probably better if you look further but this is the best locally. I have had only the pizza and it is in a different category from most, the sauce tastes homemade and the cheese is like real cheese, not the semi-​fake stuff that some places use.
I haven’t had any of their other dishes, I may try some and post an add-​on here. But if you’re just looking for pizza go for this. It is only a couple of dollars more than Romanelli’s or Firehouse but it is definitely better.

I’m not even sure how to rate this place. The food is expensive, that’s for sure, but to be expected considering the neighborhood and the fact that everything i’ve had there is seriously fantastic! Really delicious. What I cannot get over is their delivery practices. They consistently quote a 50 minute wait for a single pizza when delivering right up the street, and then area always late by about 20 minutes. Ugh. So many mixed feelings. By the time i get my food, i am frazzled with annoyance.

Great Italian food and pizza! Note this is delivery only (no takeout even). The chianti pizza was awesome! And the pasta dishes were solid, all be it with a fair amount of salt and garlic. The portions are large and the prices are good. We’ll definitely order here again!

Some of the best Italian food that delivers for miles. So far i haven’t found anything on the menu that i don’t love (especially the Focaccia)!. I always get my order really fast, and am never dissapointed!

Short answer: Pretty darn good suburb pizza. Delivery is fast and courteous. Buffalo wings weren’t great. Will be using this place as my «go-​to» pizza delivery joint.
We ordered the plain pie and it’s a solid pie. Just enough stringiness in the cheese. Tomato sauce actually tasted like something.
The delivery guy called me «sir» and was extremely polite. He even smiled and waved at my son who came to scream at whoever was at the door.
I’m look forward to trying their other pizzas and some of the other food. I’m perfectly happy with their pizza, but if their other stuff is good too, maybe it’ll be worth another star.
