I refuse to go to this store. My sister, a South Asian college professor and a friend, a South Asian college lecturer both had independently disturbing experiences here. My sister bought a pair of boots which were unworn and she wanted to return it for a different style. The young lady at the counter said this: «YOU people always do this.» When my sister asked her what she meant by that, the girl just said she was not going to exchange the shoe. Our friend, at a different time mentioned her experience at Cornblooms and it was eerily similar. I love supporting local businesses. But not racist and rude ones. Did I also mention that when all this happened to my sister, there were 2 other employees in the store who did not say a word watching the entire interaction. Racist and rude.

My teacher friends and I usually walk through here on our way to The Dumplinghaus. Not once have we been approached to be helped while looking, it’s not a big place so it’s a little awkward to be ignored. Not a flattering name for a shoe store and just like in Pretty Woman we wish we had the courage to go back in our fancy clothes and say«Big mistake… huge.»

Fun shoes, the staff was very friendly and they were very well staffed. I tried on a lot of different stuff but settled on something from their lovely sale rack that I ran across!

Growing up down the street from Hilldale I’ve shopped at Cornblooms since I was young. My mom always used Cornblooms to stock my sisters and I up on Birkenstocks and Minnetonkas. The staff is really helpful and knowledgeable on the brands and their benefits. I’ve never had an issue with their return policy and although it is a tight time frame they allow it is stated on all their receipts and in the store. The staff even explains it at check out if you haven’t shopped with them. Currently I’m addicted to my new Frye Harness boots and anything by Earthies. I work in customer service and being on my feet all day makes it essential to have a pair of shoes(many pairs to be honest) that I can wear all day with no pain. it also helps that everything there is SO cute! Thanks Cornblooms, and my trusty shoe shopper Zoe for keeping me stylish and comfortable :)

The selection of shoes here is wonderful! They have a wide variety of styles and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Though they are on the more expensive end, they are definitely quality. I’ve gotten great deals on a few pairs of shoes here during their sales!

Some fancy shoes for the quirky Madisonian business woman. Finicky F. is right, beware of that return policy! They haven’t done the research on their brands that is necessary for customer satisfaction. I got some off-brand Toms here that sorely disappointed me… they were supposed to stretch a bit, right? But look closely, I got some awesome slippers on sale that are now thought of as a small heaven for my feet.

I went into the store today to find a pair of Keen sandals. My old ones are broken, and I need a new pair, badly. Initially I had a hard time locating a salesperson, she was arranging shoes on racks. She was very unhelpful, just giving me the box of shoes and not assisting me in anyway. When the first pair didn’t fit right she seemed bothered to have to look for another size/style. Honestly, if I am making an effort to drive to your store and drop $ 95 on sandals, you could meet me halfway! I went home and ordered the sandals at Zappos, I will not be going to Cornblooms again. I had a completely different experience at the other shoe store in the mall, the salesperson helped me to try on my shoes and brought out a few different styles in my size for me to try on… I wil be going there again.

Cornblooms carries a wide range of shoes, accessories and jewelry. They have unique items that you will not find other places. I shop there when I’m looking for something different and the quality has always been great. The staff has been friendly and helpful each time I have been in the store. When they didn’t have my size in a shoe they offered to try to order it for me – which was above and beyond my expectations. My most comfortable shoes that I own are from Cornblooms. In addition, I’m a huge Brighton fan and they have the best selection around!

Cornblooms sells shoes in the upper-mid-priced comfy but attractive range suitable for a certain class of Madison women(think J. Jill)… with some surprising, more adventurous styles as well. They have Danskos and Campers and some more stylish brazilian and italian makers. It is a nice selection and one could easily find something that pleases them. Cornbloom’s is pricey and their«sale» prices are often still quite steep. BEWARE of Cornblooms’s stingy return policy, especially for sale-priced items, even for unworn shoes. This can be surprising since half the store is often occupied by sale racks. This differs from most other operations where only a small section of clearance items would be final sale only. And the staff does not always alert you to the final-sale policy before you’ve completed the purchase!(Cornblooms’s policy: All sales final for all sale-priced items. For regularly priced items: 7 days return for refund/exchange or 14 days for return for exchange/store credit only.) I highly recommend searching online for a shoe you see sale-priced there. I have had success finding a shoe at about $ 50 less than Cornblooms’s clearance price and with the added benefits of free, fast shipping and more liberal return policy.(Sometimes a girl just changes her mind!)
