Einstein Bagels… ohhhh yessss! So many flavors of bagels and flavored«shmears» to top them off or even PB&J, or honey if you like. $ 6 Monday’s gets you a bakers dozen(13) bagels and two shmears for… you guessed it $ 6! They have delicious hot soups like cream of broccoli every day and lunch sandwiches on soft warm potato rolls or panini; they come with a side of chips, or potato salad(so very good I always sneak my boyfriend’s when he gets it for his side) or fresh fruit cup. They offer bottomless cup of coffee; there’s four flavors(Caribou) smoothies, juice, or hot tea too. Bottled water and Snapple. There are sweets and treats too like giant blueberry or chocolate chip muffins, two or three kinds of chewy bars, cinnamon buns, and fresh baked cookies. It’s always friendly staff at this location and there’s plenty of seating. It gets pretty busy in here at lunch and on game days like Saturday during football the line goes out the door, but it’s soooo worth the wait. You know what they say… If there’s a crowd you know something’s good inside worth waiting for… They close at 4 or 5 which is kind of early but they open at 6:30 with hot fresh out of the oven bagels. Try the lox and sundries tomato shmear with capers-it’s amazing! Favorite State Street breakfast place on Sunday morning. See you there! ;)

Stopped in today and ordered a bowl of what passed for chicken noodle soup. Should be called carrot and noodle soup, as there was one miniscule piece of chicken in a thin broth. Generous with the diced carrot and noodle, though, but NOCRACKERSTOGOWITHTHE #%$* SOUP! GAWD! Charged only $ 3.75, a better deal than Espresso Royale’s chicken noodle soup near the Capitol: THEY charge close to $ 5.00 for less ingredients. Will start to complain on premises in future. Ripping off the public cannot continue. If there is a next time will order the chili and demand a slice of bread to go with it. Einstein’s didn’t even have their tables wiped down, which makes me nervous doing flu season. What central Madison needs is a few quality eateries run by capable managers and less gimmicky, overpriced restaurants on the Square. The reliable, «worth-it» restaurants are located on the east and west sides.

Einstein Bagels has such a great variety of bagels and schmears. While their food is on the pricier side, the food is still pretty good. I normally get the Nova Lox sandwich on a cheese bagel. For 7 dollars, I kinda wish they’d put more salmon on it, at least enough to cover the face of the bagel. They have good drinks too, although a lot of their coffees are definitely on the sweeter side.

One of my favorite chain restaurants. I visit about once a week and the service has always been great.

As a chain, Einstein Bagels is pretty damn good. They have a pretty large selection of bagels, with everything, garlic and onion as my favorites. Their bagels are quite soft, so if you want some crunch to your bagels, I recommend getting it double toasted. Their cream cheese selection is amazing, ranging from the sweet honey almond to the zesty jalapeño. I’ve also had all of their coffee, and I would definitely recommend their hazelnut or French vanilla brews. Their lattes and cappuccinos are pretty standard, and while not Starbucks quality, still hold their own given the price. My favorite part about Einstein’s, however, is how accommodating they are. If you want your bagel toasted twice, they will do it. If you want them to spread veggie cream cheese on one slice of your bagel, while spreading salmon on the other, they will do it. Einstein truly embodies the notion that the«customer is always right», I would have given this place 5-stars, but this place is still mostly run by students, so you will get slower/mixed up service once in a while.

I was in a hurry and needed something quick + caffeinated and I know Einstein Brothers could handle that. I stopped in around 7:45 on a weekday morning and the line moved very quickly. I ordered a simple wheat bagel with a garden veggie smear and a large coffee. The bagel was good — it could have had more cream cheese though. I was a big fan of the coffee! They had about 6 kinds to choose from, but I went with a medium roast hazelnut coffee. It had good flavor and did the trick!

The nicest and prettiest staff of all the Einstein Bros. Bagels in Madison! Hard-working student staff for the most part and a great campus restaurant if you just want to grab something cheap(or expensive) that will fill you up.

Love their bagels and their iced coffee is the best. The service is usually great but the manager can be rude. He yelled at me twice for ordering a lox bagel and not saying that i wanted lox FIRST, before I told him what type of bagel I wanted. There is also a girl who worked behind the cash register that told me if I didn’t want my receipt I could take it and throw it out myself.

These bagels are fine, but I think their drinks are yummy. I like the blackberry lemonade. The interior is sterile, but air conditioned with clean bathrooms and on state street that is saying a lot.

I can’t help it – I like Einstein’s. I like their Asiago Cheese bagels. I like their veggie sandwich with the hummus. I like their whipped cream cheese. The food snob in me doesn’t want to give a chain four stars, but the food is both yummy and cheap.

I like their bagels. It’s not spectacular, but good. I also appreciate their quick service and good pricing. Additional positive is their coffee. I think it’s pretty«Darn Good.» Despite of above mentioned assets, the staffs are pretty unpleasant. Well, most of them are unwilling undergrads trying to make some cash in their spare time. So, I can really feel their passion.

It’s one of the big bagel chains, so what do you expect? You’re gonna get consistency, but you’re not gonna get character or real eggs in your egg sandwich. Props for having a Challah bagel though. This one seemed particularly disorganized from the ones I’ve been to.
