Elite Event: Elite Escape

This was a LOT of fun. It was great to have so many different types of people to work with. I didn’t get stressed out at all, and the guy who runs it, Emmanuel, was a lot of fun.
I am REALLY looking forward to coming over to the West Side location when it opens.
I would definitely recommend this place if you want to do some team-​building, or just need something really different (and mentally stimulating!) to do.
Come early, because parking is a bit mysterious if you’re not familiar with the area (on-​street only).

Awesome time. Like a real-​life version of a puzzle video game. We functioned in a large group (10 people) and still found it challenging and rewarding. I think the best part was that pretty much everyone managed to contribute pretty significantly! Our host was one of the more amazingly positive people I’ve ever met, as well!

I’m glad I had the opportunity to experience an escape room. I liked the idea of this as well as Escape Mission’s execution of said idea. That being said, I felt like the group I went in with was too big. I felt more like a bystander than part of the team. My team members were really great at solving all of the puzzles, so there wasn’t much for me to contribute. I think I might enjoy this more as part of a smaller group.

Omg! what a fun night. I have been wanting to check out a room like this since I read about one in Chicago. I was in the first group of nine. Smart folks! We got most of the clues (darn googly eyes!). We all brought something to the hunt.
I cannot wait for the West side location to open to try different kinds of Missions. Thank you to My Escape Mission and Unilocal for the excellent event!

There are so many things I loved about this night I do not even know where to start.
I’ll start with the venue, The Escape Mission is a top notch escape room activity. The amount of work and detail that went into the mission was incredible. Challenging, full of surprises, and just all around fun!
The food from The Wise was delicious. I have not been to The Wise yet, but will certainly check it out now that I have sampled some of the fare. My favorite items were the homemade dipping sauces — a slightly spicy honey and creamy mustard paired perfectly with the small bites platter.
The event was great at creating relationships among «eliters». Nothing like being locked in a room, that I swear was increasing in temperature, to bond complete strangers together. When I see my team at other events, we will have the «remember when we were locked in that room» forever among us! :)
And lastly, our host — «the great one» totally made the night. He was funny, knowledgeable, and all around knew how to host us well.
We will be checking out the new westside location when it opens for sure!

Going into this, I wasn’t sure how I felt being locked in a room for an hour trying to solve clues. Fortified by some delicious appetizers from the Wise and some boxed riesling (beggars can’t be choosers), I must admit Elite Escape surprised me. I thought the clues were clever and loved the creativity and the energy from the team of people I was with. I thought it had something for both left as well as right brain thinkers. I think this would be a perfect place for a rainy (or snowy) weekend day or a small teambulding exercise. A westside location was discussed and if it comes to be, I wouldn’t hesitate visiting.

This was a blast! I’m so glad I made it to this. Its something I’ve wanted to try but who knows when we would have got a group coordinated to go.
Not only is My Escape Mission amazing but if I’m ever really trapped in a situation that requires complex problem solving to get out, there’s no one I’d rather be with than Madison’s Unilocal Elites!
And congrats to team #2 for blowing away our time!
