Stopped in a few Saturdays ago and absolutely loved the special entrée; smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese. The Brie & Pear app is one of my all time faves. Warm Brie with fresh pear and homemade sauces. Can’t go wrong with that combo. The atmosphere is super relaxing and the waiter was very helpful by offering wine suggestions. I read a couple of reviews about plastic plates. Who cares. They can’t have real plates because of a regulation but at least they’re nice plates and it doesn’t diminish the experience. Will definitely return for some good food and nice music.

Stop #1 on our ice wine festival tour. It did not set the bar very high. Long long lines all for for a sip of ice wine, a sip of port, and a roll with warm cheese spread. Most of the other wineries give you more for your money. The port and the appetizer were the only thing I liked. The ice wine was meh. I also paid extra for a sample of the White Fox, which was supposed to be a nice sweet Niagara(one of my favorites) but it ended on a really bitter note that ruined it for me. I would have bought a bottle of that port, but my husband didn’t like it as much as I did, so we passed on it. I just was not impressed with the décor or setup of this place. You hike downstairs to a cold, dank, cement basement for your samples. While their barrels are all lit up with twinkle lights and seem quite impressive, for the most part it’s just kind of chilly and dark. Not the winery atmosphere I was hoping for. They had ice carving outside, but that was seriously amateur hour. Their tools for shaping the ice included a clothes iron and a dustpan, and both of the carvers were quite grumpy. Not the greatest entertainers. I wasn’t really impressed with the looks of this place or the wine for the most part, so I probably won’t be back.

We were here years ago, but only for a wine tasting and enjoyed it. This time we stopped for dinner as we wanted to hear music while dining. The atmosphere was great as I love Halloween and it was decorated perfectly. The musician played for a half hour and took a break which I thought was odd. Dinner is served on plastic plates due to health dept. rules about cleaning, which I thought was extremely odd. I had the spaghetti and meatballs which was fine, but a bit spicy for me. My husband wanted a steak and the server took great effort in guiding him to the right steak as she said their latest shipment had a lot of fat in it. Even after all her help, his steak was very fatty. The plastic plate is small, and he had a lot of food on his plate so it didn’t make eating easy. Not sure we would come back for dinner, but the wine and atmosphere are nice.

I had never been to this winery, before, and all I can say is, what a really pleasant surprise! We sat on the patio for a mid-day gathering and everything was perfect! We intended to just get some appetizers to accompany a few bottles of wine, and opted for the warm Brie and Pears($ 11), served with blackberry & lemon glaze and crusty French baguettes. There was plenty on the plate to share among the four of us, and it came warm, gooey, and absolutely delicious. So, after a few bottles of wine, we opted to stay for a sandwich. My Blackened Chicken with Bourbon Sauce($ 9) was really nice, and everything I would have expected from Blackened Chicken; crusty outside, hot and juicy inside. The only thing that would have made it better would be if they served a side salad as an option to the slaw and chips, as I don’t eat either. Service was fast, the food was wonderful, and the wine selection was fantastic! I had a bottle of their Niagara wine, «White Fox», and I have to say, it’s the perfect Niagara for me; not too dry, not too sweet. It is my new favorite and I’m very happy to find it’s available at the local Giant Eagle! Thank you Grand River Cellars, for a most pleasant afternoon!

For the second time I have had a very bad experience. This time we were sat and ignored. We sat there for eleven minutes had two servers walk by and I ignore us. When leaving the manager realized that we had not been there long enough to have a glass of wine and I to him that we had no service he ran out to the patio to see why, but we were done. I will not go back! There are to many good winery’s with good service and food to waste your time and money at GRC

This place is the model of customer service and class. We walked in at 8:15(they close at 11) and asked for a table to get some food. The hostess said that they were busy and needed to check with the waitresses. A less reasonable establishment might have told us that we had to wait or that the service might be slow. Instead the hostess told us that they would rather not serve us, so we wouldn’t have a «bad experience». I was disappointed, mainly because I wanted to stick around and hear the baby boomers belt out more«Old Time Rock and Roll». Sorry hostess, there will be no next time to redeem yourself.

We came here for a bachelorette party. The appetizers were good, but the food was bland. The hostess and the bartender were great, but our server was awful. I get the kitchen being backed up, but after an hour we just asked her if she had any idea of how long it was going to take. She said she’d been arguing with the kitchen to get it out faster. It would have been better if she just told us they were backed up and that it would be awhile. We also told her we’d been sitting there with empty beers for at least 20 minutes. She said she’d been to our table and that we said we were fine. She did run past our table and grab an empty plate, but she didn’t even make eye contact with us. Then she grabbed my glass and ran off. Another girl at the party said she saw her roll her eyes as she turned around. The food came not even 5 minutes later. It was luke warm, so I’m guessing it had been sitting back there before we even asked about it. She never stopped by to see how it was. We rushed eating and got the heck out of here. I don’t think anyone in our party will be coming back.

First time eating here outside of the summer season and first time inside. Plates were plastic, but food was good. Service was average. Much better spot to stop at for just wine on a Saturday afternoon.

While it is picturesque outside the inside leaves something to be desired. The tasting room/restaurant has no personality and gives you the feel of being in a production line. The wines are not spectacular but aren’t bad if your looking for something easy to drink. While on site we heard about a cask tour for $ 6 you got an app and 2 special samples in the basement. This was the best part! We finally got the ambiance we wanted along with trying the two best wines of our visit!

Owner is extremely rude. Wine was not worth the cost and neither was the staff. Would not recommend this winery. There are plenty of wineries within driving distance(farrantes, debonne, & spring hill) that are way worth the money!

Four of us had lunch here on 9÷27÷13. We enjoyed our lunch and wine. The pear and Brie app was great as well as my crab cake sandwich and wife’s salad. The service was fine no complaints there. In fact this was the best overall dining experience out of the four places we ate at in this area during our weekend stay. I recommend it and we will return.

The good: atmosphere was inviting, wines were above average for the area, people were friendly. The bad: the server had no training whatsoever. He knew less than I did about the menu or the wine, and I’d never been there before. We ate lunch, which was mediocre at best. However, they have two wine tasting trays, so it’s easy to sample their wines without the help of wait staff. The service was prompt. The wines were not bad at all. I’d visit this winery again, but I’ll eat elsewhere.

Extremely rude staff! With the inside nearly empty, four of us sat at the bar to sample wines and were told to move seats because they were expecting someone to come in 2 hours later. We got up and left quietly only to have the server behind the bar make comments to us the entire way out. He was a total jerk and we will not be coming back here again. We headed down the road to another winery and had a great time.

The atmosphere was really nice with plenty of seating inside and out, very nice flowers and land. Also we got to walk outside by the vineyards. The food the chicken was good but tasted like Boston Markets, the Salad serving portions were very tiny with a small amount greens and had olives. The sides were pretty solid and my wife enjoyed the Mac N Cheese. Ordered the cheesecake which was good but a very small piece for $ 5. The sangria is awesome for $ 13 you get a huge jug that can fill about 10 wine glasses and give you a nice relaxing buzz. Also the Dober Carey Smith band was playing and did a nice job with relaxing jazz music.
