Not really good at restocking, so you’ll find some items missing, and they seem to restock during the day, when customers are trying to do their shopping. They also stock too many of the items that don’t sell well, leaving little room to stock more of the items that you would want, and this contributes to the shortages. The friendliness of the staff depends on who you get when you check out. Some are very nice, some almost hostile. Unfortunately, aside from Walmart, which is worse, it’s the only grocery chain in Madison.

It’s a good thing Ingles is the only grocery in Madison and Farmwiew is opening soon. After a year in Madison, I am banning them. I’m tired of the one rotting piece on the bottom of the prepackaged produce, the raw chicken and produce bagged by the teenager and only two lanes open during peak times. I will make it a point to travel the 25 miles to Trader Joe’s, Publix and anyone else in Athens. Mr. Ingles, you are dead to me.
