I’ve had the good fortune to know John since childhood, and his friendship will seriously help your love of antiques, punish your wallet and kill time. It’s way too much fun to shop here! You will need to make an appointment. Also, come with something or nothing in mind and a fair bit of pocket change you want to throw away on something beautiful, fun and useless. P. S. he makes a mean pancake and loves food. Ask him about Atlas, the sandwich shop he used to own if you want to learn how to perfect your own salami sandwiches.

If you are in the antique biz, you either know John Taylor or are soon to meet him. One thing is for certain, you will not forget him. His shop on the Capital Square is rarely open, however he will open his doors to those who call. Once inside you’ll find: shrunken heads, ancient maps, a full body stuffed lioness, Native American art, nautical antiques, and thousands of books(just a few items of note). I recommend bringing a bottle of single malt, but beware you may finish the entire bottle with John before escaping.
