I hired Steve Lesch of Landscape Designs, Inc. to design a landscaping plan for my past two homes and both times, I was satisfied with the outcome. As a semi-​serious gardener, I wanted to avoid the cookie-​cutter landscape plans so prevalent in my neighborhood. I was looking to add less common herbaceous perennials and woody ornamentals and Steve was able to deliver that for me in spades. The planning meetings were a two way street — my wife and I had had a clear vision for what we wanted in our gardens which Steve incorporated into his plans. Full disclosure: At times, he can be a bit on the stubborn side, kinda like the landscape design equivalent of the Soup Nazi, but in the end, we got a plan with great color, texture and bio-​diversity.
I also appreciate that Steve is active participant in many of the Madison-​area garden clubs and a frequent speaker that the WPT Garden Expo each February.
