We love going to Old Time Pottery. This location is our closest and make the 2 hour journey at least once every season. This store provides lots of merchandise in a very large building to lost in for an hour or two. Just walking up and down the aisles gets the Creative side in you going. Very clean, staff don’t pester you allowing you to look but available if help is needed. You will find items here much less expensive than anywhere else. Only problem is you do have to watch on the quality of some items. Some things you get what you pay for. Besides that, we really enjoy our retail therapy here!

Old Time Pottery is my favorite for seasonal declaration. They have a HUGE selection during fall/winter months at great prices. A few things to keep in mind… 1. The discounts usually are better on the weekends. Not sure why but if it can wait til the weekend you will almost always get the best deal. 2. The stuff goes VERYVERY fast. They start putting Christmas décor out around mid October and they have tons! But by first week or so if November almost all the good stuff is gone. So get there early and buy everything you need or it may be there. By December they will have empty shelves. 3. Some of the items are not the top quality but for the price you can’t beat it.

It’s true it’s cheap and some items downright shoddy BUT when you want a batch of nice plain shot glasses at .59c each or some nice glass tumblers for a sazerac party for $ 1 then this is it. Some of the Christmas baubles are OK if you shop carefully but on the whole this is where you shop for crockery for mega parties or a cheap fix when pier 1 feels too far away.

Wind chimes, side tables, baskets, linens, yard chatchka’s, dishes, coffee mugs, bakeware. this is paradise at a cheap price. When Spring hits, one must go here to find all the tacky lawn goodies one must put out to signify that Spring has arrived and the grill is being pulled out. I walk around this store for hours, aimlessly looking at everything, making sure I don’t miss anything. Today I scored some Egyptian sheets at 600 count for $ 40… I saw a side table I really liked but someone pulled it out of my hands and put it into her cart. I think it’s best to shop here during the week. Less people. More time to explore without someone thinking they must have something you’re looking at. They have some beauuuuutiful garden pots for your porch, patio, deck. Fill it with flowers and enjoy your space. Everyone is nice, the shelves are well stocked and they keep them pretty neat. Every now and then you’ll find something that has been broken by a customer, but more often than not, you will find another one, not broken. Great place to furnish your place with pictures, dishes, candles, wall hangings, pillows, rugs, kitchen stuff, it’s all here!

Probably one of my favorite«seasonal» stores… meaning they are great for decorating, no matter what the holiday is!

We went to buy Christmas décor items. The store was beyond a mess. Everything was thrown around on shelves or in the floor. The quality of items is bad(but then again, if you’ve been here before you know you aren’t going for quality). We tried to return an item, and apparently interrupted the«customer service» employee while she was putting on her lotion. As she literally sat behind the counter and told us we couldn’t return the item(b/c though the receipt did not state their policy — a sign that was never shown to us when we bought it, was apparently to be followed), she acted as though we’d just bothered her. She never even stood up. The place is a mess. If you can go elsewhere to get your stuff(Hobby Lobby, Michael’s, etc), I sure would. Avoid at all costs! And if you do buy something, make sure to read the 10 signs placed around the cash register just in case you’re buying something you can’t return!

Old Time Pottery is one of my favorite places to find gifts and little treasures. They have an incredible selection of wall art … paintings to wrought iron sculptures. Their bedding and bath linens sections are also fantastic. Great for outfitting a first apartment!

You have to go to Old Time Pottery quite a bit to find deals on things as their inventory is always changing. Don’t be put off by the name, because there’s much more than pottery. You’ll find just about any household item you need. They have a great selection of sheets and towels, but the colors are kind of hokey, but if you want basics like good sheets for about half of what you would usually pay, keep looking here. I found those great hotel sheets for about $ 30. If you’re a foodie and you like to cook, there’s a great supply of kitchen gadgets and nick knacks. I find the actual pottery, cups and glasses and dishes a little«housewifey» for my tastes, but occasionally they actually have Fiesta ware. It’s a great store to find enormous stock pans, pizza accessories, and weird kitchen implements. If you’re into fake plants, you’ll love this place. There are rows and rows of them in all shapes and sizes, and there are also crafting and flower arranging supplies. I like the cheap garden décor stuff, or yard art. It’s a good place to buy candles, tiki torches, citronella lamps and candle holders, trellises and even garden stones. Oh and around Christmas, you can find some insane ornaments and decorations.
