Had this outside of Straight to Ale(an AWESOME brewery by the way). I asked the guy working for a recommendation, and he said the chicken nachos. Maybe they were trying to get rid of old food, because it was an awful suggestion. The chips were stale. The chicken was dry, and even with queso the whole thing was bland. My buddies got the shrimp bowl and chorizo bowl which had better flavor(hence the two stars) but still didn’t exactly wow me. Honestly, I expect a lot more from food endorsed by Straight to Ale, but I guess the options are limited in the Huntsville food truck realm.

Had them when they were at Straight to Ale. Had grilled chicken, jalapeño queso sauce, and coconut lime rice. Sounds good, right? Well for my husband who eats EVERYTHING took a bite and spit it back out. Our whole group who was here for Dine and Dash did not care for them. I took a bite and politely threw mine in the trash where it belonged. I guess they make their money from really drunk people who need bland and tasteless food to sober up on. Do not waste your money here.

Finally got to try the shrimp tacos today(check the picture). Each taco had ~ 4 good sized shrimp, mixed with pineapple chunks and the purple slaw, on top of a good dollop of chorizo. It was a single medium sized flour tortilla. The pineapple seemed odd, but what the heck, I went for it, and wasn’t sorry. It was a nice sweet counterbalance to the solid heat of the chorizo, and a nice textural compliment to the shrimp. The chorizo was the main player, and they tacos were really good! I wonder how they would taste in a double layer of corn tortilla. Double layer mandatory coz you know chorizo can be a little greasy. (~8.00 for two shrimp/chorizo tacos) They come with a side of homemade salsa, which was really good, but somehow, for me, didn’t compliment the tacos. But, the fresh chunks of tomato and onion and fresh cilantro really put a smile on my face. I dipped some rice«chips» I happened to have on hand in the salsa and it did the trick! If you want a shrimp taco **plate**, here are your sides: sour cream a side of chips. Soooo, you apparently can’t get a lunch«plate» of the shrimp tacos. Friends’ ordered the chicken tacos«lunch» or «lunch plate» which, for 10.00, included two chicken tacos in a white cheese sauce(?)(again on the flour tortilla) and some topping + cilantro rice + beans + tortilla chips/salsa and a cookie AND a cold coke. Seemed like a great deal! I’d like to try the chicken tacos next time. The food came up quickly, as they have upsized from the cart styled truck to a larger trailer pulled by a pickup and it holds 3 people inside, working. Much better layout for them, too, I’m sure. Try on-on, it’s got good heat, gets served up quick and is a good value.

Pork bbq taco from their truck was amazing!!! Perfect bbq, especially with the onions. Shrimp taco was good too! Both were pretty big– I was full after 2 but needed to eat another pork bbq.
