I experienced internet outages that I tried to troubleshoot myself, putting off and dreading having to call a support line. However, once I did the gentleman on the other end of the phone walked me through various fixes; none of them worked because it was a problem on ResTech’s end with equipment in the building. One of their techs worked to fix the problem, called me back, walked me through what I needed to do and I got internet back! He was patient and understanding and quite apologetic for my losing internet access. While I have never experienced this magnitude of problem while I was a client with any other cable/internet service, I would bet ResTech handled it better than many competitors would have!

If I could give ResTech zero stars I would. Their service is terrible, they offer what appears to be fast internet but when measured it performs far below the advertised value. Their customer service is quick to respond but completely useless. About the only thing they will have you do is measure the internet speed when plugged in, which anyone can do in their own time. They said they had resolved our issue and upgraded our connection to the advertised speed but that was just a blatant lie as our connection remains both slow and extremely unstable. It’s sad that I cannot respond to an e-mail’s regularly because my internet is to slow. I would suggest avoiding this company at all costs, the services they provide are disgraceful and if I had a choice of providers, which I unfortunately do not, I would switch to anyone else in a heart beat. To sum up my experience… I downloaded Unilocal on my phone because I couldn’t use my computer(slow internet connection!) for the sole purpose of writing a terrible, but accurate, review of ResTech.

Avoid if possible. This is the worst internet service I have ever had. It is shoddy and unstable. I purchased a high speed package and the promised speed was not delivered on until I called and complained numerous times. But having high speed doesn’t matter when your service is down so often. It seems to go down and then reconnect dozens of times a day. This sort of instability is terrible for any sort of gaming or streaming. Not to mention the fact that every couple of weeks you can count on an all day outage. The only points I can give them are that the customer service is pretty responsive– but they have no long term solutions for you. I am in awe at how terrible this service is.

Good customer service, internet is sufficient. Seems to reset at 3am consistently. It would be nice to receive tweets/texts when there are known disruptions. Otherwise, convenient and affordable option for those who want internet only.
