San Sans Day Spa

I’m not one to get my nails done very often and when I have, I usually find the experience mostly uncomfortable. That was not the case at San Sans, Sue made me feel very relaxed and at home. She is so sweet and complimentary — seriously, if you want to feel like the most beautiful woman in the world, just talk to Sue for a bit. :)
I was only in for a pedicure so I can’t speak to the rest of her services, but I was thrilled with the experience and pleased with the price. She took her time with me and did great work. The shop is a little difficult to find and it is also difficult to figure out where to park so make sure you check out a map before you go in.

I quit getting lash extensions because they seriously damaged my eyelashes and were far more expensive than Lattise.

Had a massage. She rubbed my stomach, my naked stomach, and between my naked boobs, extremely weird and uncomfortable. The rest of the massage was very week. Will not go again.

Great place! They mainly work off of appointments, but it’s totally worth it! Staff is very friendly and they do a great job. I went to get a pedicure with one of my friends, and it was fantastic. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for any spa services. :)

No extractions during facial and a hard sell on products ruined treatment package. Massage and facial price was quoted included paperwork and payment. I expected the time for a facial and massage to not include paperwork. Not so relaxing and no reduction in blackheads or pore size. Bad eyebrow wax — they were uneven. Don’t waste your time. If you want good brows see Lisa at Reprise on State.

Sue did a fantastic job! After travelling all day, I decided to spoil myself with a 30 minute massage and mani-​pedi. I had the place to myself, and it was such a peaceful experience. I loved her essential oils and non-​greasy lotions. I have sensitive skin, but everything she uses is gentle, and she did a great job of handling my tickelishness.

Splendid service. Had a pedicure today and loved it. I have pretty rough heels and by the time we were done they were silky-​soft. The service was lengthy and pampery. Go late in the day and you will feel like the only human being in the world. And the lady is so nice I’ve had pie that was less sweet.
The pedi also smelled delicious. I want to eat my feet.
She also does eyelash extensions ($ 3 per fibre), permanent makeup ($?), and eyebrow threading ($ 20), as well as facials. Recommended by all means.

This was my first trip to Madison, and after a crazy day of flying and driving, I woke up with a very tight neck and a lot of tension! Susan accommodated my schedule and stayed late for me, even though I’ve never been there and had only called this afternoon to make the appointment. I had a massage and pedicure. They were both fantastic!
The massage was amazing, she used aromatherapy to help my mind relax, and went to town on my sore neck and shoulders. She even massaged my stomach — which was terrific! I fell asleep several times during the massage — something which usually never happens (and I’ve had many, many, many massages)! The lotions that she used made my skin feel super soft, and not oily like most massages.
The pedicure was great, I work on my feet all night (10+ hour shifts), and I’m always in flip flops or barefoot, so my feet take a beating and are always dry and calloused. Now they are super smooth and soft. Susan was also very helpful with color suggestion and combination. =) I have glittery toes!

I dropped by San San’s for an impromptu manicure/​pedicure and even though I didn’t have an appointment, Sue still took me in right away. She is incredibly sweet and made sure that I was happy with everything. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing, and I was very happy with the results. Make an appointment and support her business, I guarantee you’ll want to come back again.

This is a great neighbourhood spa, right next to the Sushi Box, that has many services good to have if you, well, have the money to burn.
I will say that San San’s owner, and pretty much the only one that works there, Ange, is a doll. She’s incredibly sweet, remember you always, ALWAYS has you in her thoughts regarding your comfort level, and is a very trained beautician.
However.
For such a small spa, I’d expect the prices being more reasonable.
For example, facials are $ 100 (w/​tip). Um, I’d rather then go to Aniu or Belleza if I’m gonna pay that amount.
Then again, her facials are like 1.5 hours, she doesnt’ rest until your face is as smooth as a baby’s bottom.
And I MEAN baby’s bottom.
The issue with this, of course, is that for the next 4 hours post facial, you keep touching your face, because, well. IT IS as smooth as a baby’s bottom.
How many times did I repeat baby’s bottom? A LOT. Let that be a reminder!!!
I do recommend her, if only because she’s SO attentive to you as a customer.
She has no lot parking (DO NOT park behind her, that’s Sushi Box, adn the one next to Susan Sez is well… Susan’s parking lot… it BOGGLES me that with the lack of traffic they still instill the whole «DON’T PARK HERE» thing.). However, there’s much parking on Kendall or Chamberlain…
