Ok… this is my last review of Sprouts, but I just had to write! I went there this week. They had a Sofia the First Surprise Slides in used condition. They priced it for $ 8.50. This game sells NEW for $ 8.79 on Toys R Us, $ 7.33 on Amazon, $ 9.99 at Target. I’m sorry, but the pricing makes no sense. Sprouts over priced this game by about $ 4. I am officially done shopping there. I just can’t do it anymore. I used to go there about once a week and find some awesome deals. There just aren’t deals there anymore. I’m sorry. I hope that maybe they re-evaluate their pricing procedures.

I agree with other reviewers. Not a very flexible nor helpful place to sell with. I am planning on selling elsewhere from now on.

As another reviewer said, I think this is a much better place to be a buyer than a seller. I have consigned several items in the past and there seems to have been a change in management and attitude since that time, all for the worse. They do not cater to the working parent. It is dificult to get an appointment to drop off items. I called today to find out if 2 of my items had sold or if they had been turned over to the store because they had been there too long. The woman answering the phone(who is relatively new) said that all she could tell me was what had not sold and could not look through my list to find out what happened to the 2 items I asked about. She said she was too busy to do that and that, instead, essentially said that I should leave work and come over and look at the information on her computer. When I tried to explain that I cannot leave to do that and I only wanted to find out about two things that I thought were tracked in her computer, she continued to argue with me. She could have given me the information I asked for in much less time than she spent arguing with me about why she couldn’t give me the information. I will be going back to my local children’s consignment store in Bernardsville, where management is much more accommodating.

For what it is, I think this is a really good little shop. However, it’s better for buying than selling. I had a bundle of really nice maternity clothes to sell and they were not able to sell them because they had too much already– and weren’t very helpful regarding informing me when a better time might be to bring the clothing back. As a shopper there, however, I appreciate the organized limited quantities. I’ve found cute clothes and toys there that have become real favorites.

A cute store to shop high end children’s and maternity goods without the huge prices. It was recommended by a friend and I’m so glad that I made a trip there today. It felt like I was shopping at a sample sale but you can try on the clothes for your kids. They sell not just clothing, but furniture, games, books, puzzles, belts(of which I got for just a $ 1.50…a rainbow belt for my daughter) I was hoping to see ice skates, bike helmets or roller skates but no avail today. What I did find was high end nice clothes and hardly worn for my kids at half price than I would have bought at the Short Hills Mall. If I wait longer, the price of the items will go down further but I didn’t want to chance someone getting it so I bought them. Given it’s located in Madison, the people who consigns to this shop are from really nice neighborhoods… get my drift??? So venture into this store and find some bargains. One more thing — they take only cash and checks
