Wonderful, caring teachers who support the development of the child in music and in life in general! Group lessons allow increased exposure to the other teachers in the program, diversity of music, and performance opportunities not found in a single-teacher studio. While the Suzuki method is the foundation of the teaching philosophy, the teachers also incorporate other techniques in a creative manner to enhance musicality and the individual child’s experience. The organization of Suzuki Strings of Madison is far superior to other Suzuki programs I have experienced. I highly recommend my children’s teacher, Diana Popowycz.

My two daughters take violin lessons through the Suzuki Strings of Madison. I have been very happy with the quality of the teachers in this program. The program consists of a weekly lesson with a private teacher and a weekly group lesson with other children of similar ability. For grade school age children, music theory and music reading is taught on a weekly basis as well. The program is very well-organized and over the years, it feels like joining a large community. Our private teacher, Maria-Rosa Germain does a great job with my daughters– she is very patient, enthusiastic, and has many wonderful teaching techniques. I also learned violin through the Suzuki method growing up and I am now happy to be sharing the gift of learning to play violin with my children by being a part of the Suzuki Strings of Madison!
