A real as it gets outside of Mexico. Super cheap. Authentic. Asada tacos are the way to go or the chicken. The chicken plate is incredible as well, they smoke the chicken out front in the huge smoker. I read the other review about it not being flavorful, not sure what they had, but this is not my experience. I eat there once or sometimes twice a week.

Great. Cheap. Fast… That’s all you need to know, baby. This is the best kept secret amongst Mexican aficionados in the Madison area… Last time I had the shrimp tostadas, which were terrific. The sauces are great and pack a lotta heat… Better get a horchata to go!

Just stopped in for lunch and got a few tacos. Pretty good Taqueria. But it looks like I need to try the Pollo. The green and red salsas/sauces are tasty and spicy.

Authentic taqueria. It is now known as «Tacos y Mariscos Lindo Mexico» Reasonable prices and big portions. The grilled chicken is enough for two meals. The have the usual assortment of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, gorditas, and tortas. But they are know for mariscos. They serve shrimp or mixed seafood in fist sized cocktails or entry level tostadas. My favorite is the whole fried tilapia aka mojarra frita. Service is quick, seating is limited

We’ve eaten at Tacos Y Mariscos Lopez a few times and haven’t had terrible experiences. My only previous gripe was that the chocoflan was incredibly bland and tasted like it had been hanging out in the refrigerator for a week. And the way in which they serve the horchata is a little icky — they fish it out of a dirty cooler and dump it into your cup. Today we stopped by for some to-go tacos. The girl who took our order couldn’t get it right for the life of her. We ordered 8 tacos in total; we received 6. We ordered 1 horchata; we got 2 horchatas. We ordered chips & salsa; we got no chips and salsa. But that wasn’t even the worst part of our experience. Once we got home, I started eating a barbacoa taco. I dropped it onto my plate, and when it fell open, I saw what I had been eating. I still don’t know WHAT it was I saw, but I do know I’ve never seen ANYTHING like it in a barbacoa taco. It honestly looked like rows of pointy fish teeth, like parts of a fish’s jaw just fell into the tortilla with my barbacoa. But when I showed it to my boyfriend, he assured me it was soft tissue. *gag* Both of my barbacoa tacos contained this mystery meat. My boyfriend is an ironclad stomach type, and even he said the sight of that just about made him lose his lunch. Someone more familiar with meats might say, «Oh, that’s just… It’s perfectly normal.» And that may be, but it certainly ruined our appetites. We ended up throwing most of the food away. I will not go back. We’ll take our business back to El Jaliciense, thankyouverymuch.

This place is perfect for an inexpensive dinner for two. Whole pollo asado, beans, rice, fixins and tortillas. $ 11. I think Larry David would say so himself. That’s a pretty, pretty, pretty… pretty good deal. Oh, and did I mention the food is good.

This place was part of the Lopez chain of 6. It now seems to be owned by someone else and has changed its name. The food was not a patch on Lopez on the murfreesboro road, much more greasy and flavorless. Not much to say, disappointing but of course cheap.

This is a complete hole in the wall with awesome, cheap food that will fill you up. The menu is smallish, featuring various tacos(al pastor, carne asada, pollo asado, carnitas, etc.), tostadas, tortas, and a delicious grilled chicken dinner that comes with rice, beans, lettuce, fresh salsa and a few things I“m forgetting. I am a big fan of the ceviche tostada, which is topped with a generous serving of sliced avocado. The flavors truly remind me of the home-made cooking of my sister in law who is from Mexico. I brought her there once, and she actually liked it, which is rare for Mexican restaurants in Tennessee. This is a great place to go on a budget if you want something tasty and filling.
