The Edgewater Spa

My husband and I have come here twice now for couples massage and enjoyed them very much. The spa is so beautiful and inviting you feel relaxed as soon as you step inside. We had the same massage therapist both times and were really happy we did. They worked out my sore muscles but at the same time made it very enjoyable and relaxing. My husband said his massage was just as relaxing as it was helping work out some tension in his back. It is more pricey than other spas in Madison but well worth it. We can’t wait for our next couples massage!

This review is for the customer service/​management. I scheduled services for my husband and I for our first anniversary. A. Few days before the appointment, the spa called to confirm the appointment, then said I had to select a different service because I’m pregnant. Then they called right back and said the service I had selected was fine, and I could keep it. Then they emailed me the next afternoon and said I had to change it to a different service. They could not accommodate a time, so I offered to change the services to the next day, and to switch to the prenatal services. They (for an unknown reason) cancelled my prenatal service and replaced it with a non-​prenatal service. At this point I asked them to cancel all appointments as they kept changing them without discussing it with me. They charged my credit card (required to schedule appointments) 50% of the services even though I only cancelled them due to their incompetence. I asked for a reimbursement of the fees and they refuse to reimburse me. I have asked the spa manager, Emily, to call me back, but she will not. She just cut and pasted their cancellation policy and emailed it me. I’m surprised a newer business would treat someone like this. Word of mouth goes a long way. I won’t be trying to schedule here again. Scheduling an appointment at a spa should never be this stressful.

The spa at the Edgewater is gorgeous! And, perhaps, the best kept secret in Madison! I’ve enjoyed some pampering here as of late — such a great escape. If you can, try to book a signature massage. Best 90 minutes ever. And book Lauren for a pedicure — lovely girl!

I have had a couple of services at The Edgewater Spa so far, and both blew me out of the water! The atmosphere is cool and calming and immediately inviting, and all of the staff are sweet and passionate about what they do – and its obvious! The first service was a deep-​tissue massage, with Alisha. She is so good at what she does! I have pretty bad lower back pain, so she pinpointed the painful parts and even talked me through what kind of stretches to do to improve that area.
The last service I had was a facial by Sarah T. WOWZA. I had the signature facial, and it was an out of body experience! Sarah was perfectly professional and it was WAY MORE than just a facial – legs, feet, hands, shoulders, arms, back, neck scalp… it was amazing. I left the Spa floating on a cloud. The products are top-​notch, as well!

Best spa in Madison. Such a beautiful facility– friendly, authentic staff! It has great views of the lake as well. Definitely recommend…

This is my second service at The Edgewater. I have had a manicure and pedicure on two separate occasions. Service was prompt and the environment was very comfortable and relaxing … I will be going back to try more services!!!

I took my two daughters and niece to the spa for a girls day out. We all enjoyed the services we received, which included massages, facials, and microdermabrasions. Ask for Becky! The environment is tranquil, the whirlpool was soothing, and we even worked out while we were there. You certainly can’t beat the view of Lake Mendota! I can’t wait to plan another visit to the spa.

Oh man-​if it wasn’t for the price, I’d give this 5+ stars! I just had my first massage here and it was amazing! I got a deep tissue massage from Sarah, and it was just what I needed. I’m a regular rock climber and live a pretty active lifestyle and the knots in my back are no joke. I’ll be coming back here probably once a month :).
