Walgreens

The pro is that it’s on State Street, and you might be like me — a normal human that likes to walk over to the Terrace or just up and down State, and in the midst of heading back home, decide you need an quart of ice cream (no shame).
The con is that it’s on State Street, and you might be like me — someone who would rather not have to deal with UW students acting crazy and loud, or panhandlers that love their seat outside Walgreens and asking you for money, even though you’ve told them no every other day for the past week.
The staff are hit or miss. It’s actually a pretty big Walgreens, so I’ll ask them for help on if they have a certain item if I don’t feel like going through their rummage sale of a store. I’d say more often than not they are helpful, though there are definitely a handful that most likely hate their job.

Having worked at Walgreens before, I know what kind of service I should expect to get, how long does a thing take, and why certain things are the way they are at Walgreens. Going into this Walgreens, we received the branded salutation (following the books), which was pleasant, I guess. We then headed to their cosmetics section, which I was very disappointed by. It was highly unorganized and the sale prices were not marked correctly, and their products were definiteły old. My friends and I got an eyeliner and a concealer and we proceeded to the checkout line. The line moved super quickly, which was really nice. When we finally got to check out, the discount didn’t ring up but I didn’t notice it until I had already swiped my card. I questioned the cashier about it, and he was like“umm yeah but it has already went through…” Hoping that I would say ya ok never mind or something like that. Instead, I just asked him to still price check it. It literally took him 10 mins to come back. It should NOT have taken him that long. What I expected him to do is first to look at it, then ask the cos specialist, then check with the cosmetics computer and maybe if it is super complicated, ask the manager. But all of that should have only taken maximum of 5 mins. He finally came back to tell us that the sale doesn’t apply in the case… Bullshit, I used to be a cos specialist. I know when a brand is on sale, everything with that brand name is on sale too. I didn’t want to create a problem so I left. Overall, I am disappointed by the service, the products and the layout of this place,

A pretty nasty little Walgreens.

This store was closed before the posted hours the last two times I went. We went to pickup a Redbox DVD and wasted the trip even though we got there 50 minutes before closing time.

It’s a rip-​off for a simple passport photo. It’s 12 bucks– way too expensive for such a low quality passport photo!

its ok, no pharmacy which is a bummer (go to the one on the capital its, better & has a pharamacy. Its got what you need though, great convenience store really. Watch for the cheap candy :-)
