Walgreens

It’s a Walgreen’s. Sometimes there are good sales and sometimes not. Photo processing is usually quick and accurate. Sometimes the crops are off so I have taken to double checking before I summit my order.
Walgreen’s-Midvale/University Ave is in my neighborhood. There is one gentleman that works afternoons that is very nice and very personable. I think the other staff is usually helpful, too.

This is a really convenient location if you find yourself trekking between downtown and the Middleton area. When I lived on the westside, I often found myself stopping in to grab everything from mixers to makeup to Halloween candy for our annual treks to corn mazes and haunted houses.
Halloween candy is what brought me in this last time, as they usually tend to have some sort of sale or rewards member deal — today I lucked out and my rewards points ended up cashing me out to knock $ 3 off my bill.
I’ve never had to ask for assistance at this location, so I can’t comment on the helpfulness of the staff that has been lacking for other reviewers. While I was looking for candy there was an associate helping another woman figure out what things she could combine to be eligible for the sales (not all candy was on the same sale, it was apparently brand dependent).
Usually it’s a quick in and out and I can’t recall a time they didn’t have what I needed; now if they would just go to 24-​hours for people who end up needing late-​night prescriptions and random items.

I would give this Walgreens zero stars if possible. This is probably the worst store I’ve been to — as other reviewers mentioned, the staff is incompetent and WILL NOT help you locate what you need. I went in wanting to get my prescribed medication but was told it is an over the counter, «Aisle 9». I informed the «Pharmacist» that I tried to find it but couldn’t. He not only did not offer to help, he didn’t even bother to check if I had a prescription sent. This is despite the fact I had my doctor’s visit summary in hand and showed it to him. I will never get my prescriptions sent here again, and in fact will likely never step foot in this place if I can avoid it. Stay away from this Walgreens, go to any other store — there are plenty in the area.
Go to Target Hilldale Pharmacy instead-​way better service!

This Walgreens location is convenient to my work. I was able to find what I needed and get in and out quickly. I’m not happy about the fact that «instant coupons» advertised on shelf tags do not ring up automatically. I had to ask for the advertised price at the checkout counter, and then the cashier had to laboriously look up and scan each coupon. Pretty annoying and a good way to trick customers into paying more.

I’m pretty appalled on all fronts for this location.
Not only was the store unkempt, two separate employees (one a manager) were unable to help me find a product after 20 minutes of searching. While I wasn’t in a rush, I was frustrated when I ended up finding it myself after their hunt.
Avoid this one and hit up any of the ones downtown if at all possible.

Hey it’s a Walgreen’s.
As I had to tell the kid, «it’s a drug store that happens to sell some groceries. Not a grocery that sells other things.»
What does that mean? Honey, you can only afford it with an advertised coupon but they get cha because of convenience or quick in and out or you forgot something.
Great thing about this location: ITS LOCATION. at the intersection of University of Midvale… everything is here so park your car and walk. Alternatively, the NEXT best thing about it… IT HAS A CHASE ATM.
CHASE ATM’S are dire in this town as there are only 4 total storefront locations in town.
