I had lunch yesterday in beautiful downtown Madisonville and before and after our meal I wandered along the river along Water Street. My nieces were thrilled to see the drawbridge open(which pivots rather than raises) and tried to climb into a randomly parked(docked? whatever) boat. The Tchefuncte definitely deserves 5 stars on it’s name alone. AND Bogue Chitta State Park is along the river(more name points). AND you can tubing down the river so what’s better than that?
