Sonic Drive-In

This is by far the worst sonic I have ever been to! I work in the area and only have time for fast food most days and I continue to give sonic another chance but they just continue to prove themselves the lowest. It takes forever to get someone to even take your order. I just left there after pushing my order button over and over for 10 minutes. On top of the long wait just to get your order put in, they usually never give you as much food as you should get. For example, a sonic burger is supposed to COME WITH 2 tomato slices, not 1. To some that may not be a big deal but to me, it is! Those are just a couple of my reasons for rating this place so low.

I do not usually post Unilocal reviews but felt the need to warn others… Passing through on a road trip home in hope for some ‘decent’ fast food. Chose Sonic over Mc Donald’s what a BAD DECISION! The staff were all friendly… But stoned out of their minds, food was down right AWFUL, cold, gross and tasted stale we tossed everything and plan to eat at the next stop. When passing through Madras skip over Sonic.

Went here early evening. One vehicle ahead of me in line. One car under canopy. Cashier gave wrong change. No napkins. No candy in bag. No receipt.
Called store. Manager answered. Told him the story he said well we do run out of things some times. I said how do you run out when there is never anyone here. He got all pissy and said I sell more hamburgers then McDonald’s and Burger King. I said I doubt that nobody is ever there. He said if all I was going to do is bash the business I don’t have to ever come back there are other places to go and hung up. Heck of a manager I thought.
Seems like if I was manager I’d go to the store and buy some napkins so I could keep customers happy.
I called the sonic complaint line and they are going to file the complaint with a management team and call me back withing 48 hours.

We stopped by at 6:40 pm on ⁶⁄₁₆. Bathroom was filthy and garbage was overflowing. Employees were all sitting on prep areas surfaces where food is prepared. One was biting his finger nails. They looked at is and never even got up or off the tables. Needless to say, we left. Avoid this Sonic!

Every time I’ve come here, my order is messed up somehow. Items missing, extras I asked for not there, mixed up orders… not once have I ever received my order correctly but I don’t worry about it, they always correct it when I ask. No big deal, and they’re usually friendly so that was what kept me coming back. Tonight though, I think this was my last trip. I always ALWAYS treat the people who handle my food with extra respect and smiles! You don’t mess with the people who handle your food! Tonight I went through the drive through and ordered. The girl was pretty short and snippy but whatever, I’ll still be super nice! So I asked for extra veggies on my burger and she asked quite rudely «lettuce and tomatoes?» I said «yes please, extra vegetables» and she proceeded to angrily ask if I wanted extra everything else that comes on a burger but one at a time like it was hot pokers in her eye sockets to talk to me. So I slowed down my speech, thinking my car was making too much noise and she couldn’t hear me. Well I guess that was a mistake! When I pulled up, I heard her say «I’m not giving that guy his food, he’s a jerk!» Realy?! I was so nice! Maybe she was having a bad day. But of course when I get home, my order was wrong. And I wouldn’t doubt if there was spit in my food. Oh well. I’ll take this as my invitation to eat elsewhere!

Terrible food. And I waste nothing usually threw my whole chicken burger in the garbage. Fries were soft and cold. Chicken patty cold and not crispy, seems like it was cooked 2 hours ago. Breading was soggy. The bun was even cold. This all after yelling into the drive in speaker system for over 5 minutes to get our order. Then having to go in and tell it to them our order. never eating at sonic again.

The food is disgusting. The shakes are tolerable but not nearly as good tasting as the pictures would have you believe. I will never stop here again. In the words of my kids the food here taste like crap. I cant say it any better. We threw our entire order out.

Surprised to see how few stars this Sonic got. Stopped for breakfast. Food was fresh, oil used to fry the potatoes was fresh and the server was friendly. Not bad for fast food. Ordered the super burrito and we were both pleased. They use shaved ice for the drinks and they are great on a hot day

The one star was because the ice cream sundae and strawberry limeade was tasty. That was the only positive thing about thus place. I had to repeat myself 5 times while ordering the sundae cause the gal was either new or just didn’t get it. She finally had a guy take over who knew how to handle an order of a hot fudge and Carmel ice cream sundae. Did you hear banana in that order? Yeah neither did I.
We went the next day for lunch cause we were visiting the town. My garlic Parmesan cheesy hotdog tasted barely warm and the bun was nothing special. It was kinda cold and not toasted at all. The food was sloppy looking and not very warm. The gal who brought our food out pretty much whispered the order back and I was like I have no idea what you said and she just gave me a blank look.
All in all… food wasn’t special and barely warm and thrown together very sloppy. Service was a pain and needs LOTS of help!

Disgusting. I will NEVER eat here again. My girlfriend had a hair in her burger, our chili tots had BLACK old chili that were in warped containers that have obviously been sitting in a warmer waiting to be ordered. My girlfriend called the store and they offered us a full refund. We went back to the store and had one manager take our nasty ass food inside and another manager brought out the refund and told us all of her kitchen staff are bald as I looked inside and saw girls with pony tails working on line then she said she was really sorry for the hair and it happens all the time. Fucking gross. I will never return to this sonic ever again unless I feel the need for old ass hairy food. Yummy.

It’s hard to go wring with a Route 44 Strawberry Limeade — extra strawberries, light ice on a 100 degree day in July. True to form Sonic’s happy hour (2pm-​5pm) delivered — 44 oz of cooled goodness directly to my car for under $ 1.50.
My only critique is that I spent more time waiting to be acknowledged at the ordering kiosk than I ever have at any other «fast food» restaurant in my life. I was the only car there — were they that busy?
