Nice hotel, older than most but very clean. The room is very large and clean, has a funky older nineties-model TV, funky décor but it gives it a definite charm and personality. Had a buddy over the second night and he was wowed at how nice it was! The room also had a microwave AND a small fridge, which was VERY handy to store snacks/drinks! The bathroom was very clean, the tub is one of the old kind with three knobs, one to set from shower to bath, and separate knobs for hot and cold water. It took a bit of finagling to figure it out, but water was nice and hot! I suspect that this hotel was once the mainstay for Mcgee. It had a King-sized bed with a nice vinyl or leather chair next to it-very comfortable! The price was right at about forty-six twenty a night if I remember correctly, less than half what the Holiday Inn Express just south on Highway 49 was charging. I was able to stay there two nights for less than what one would have cost at the Holiday Inn! The staff was very friendly and Pete, the manager, even hand-carried a copy of my bill to my room when I misplaced it! Gloria, the attendant the next day, was very friendly and attentive as well! There were several restaurants ranging from Mcdonald’s to Pizza Hut to a Chinese buffet within EASY driving distance-I found the fact that the Hotel was located on a smaller strip of road by HWY49 very convenient as I didn’t have to deal with the stress of getting out on the main highway to go eat-though I almost turned into the wrong lane one night! Like the previous review, if you are looking for a basic, no-frills yet economical and comfortable place for your base of operations, this is the place for you! I will be staying there again when I return during the summer!

No reviews out there for this place, but I’m glad I gave it a shot. The hotel is old and shows signs of wear and tear, but it has obviously had some recent renovations and fresh paint/carpets. The rooms are small but clean, décor is kinda funky(in a good way), TV is a bit dated, room has a fridge and microwave, wii-fi connection good, and everything worked fine. The best part is it’s $ 45 a night(at least $ 25 cheaper than most in this area). If you’re looking for budget, no frills lodging, I recommend this place.
