This place is a must stop when in Maggie. The food is amazing and the servers just the best!

Had breakfast here 4 mornings in a row during my stay. The portions were extremely generous with everything I ordered. French toast stuffed with cream cheese was incredible. Biscuits were not only delicious but huge and there are two on an order at that. I had one with thick cut lean bacon and another with a really good sausage patty. Loved the sausage, both flavor and texture. These people make some of the most delicious pancakes anywhere and they kept my coffee cup full. The Sausage gravy biscuit was probably the best I’ve had anywhere. I wouldn’t hesitate to drive here for breakfast if I were within 50 miles. Nice folks too! That’s always a plus.

The first time I ate at this restaurant was in September 2015. There were only two tables of about twelve occupied, the service was quick, the food was great and the conversation we had with the owner was very nice. I returned with my son today after bragging to him how good this place was. Let’s just say I had to eat my words. Our visit today was horrible. We arrived at about 9:20AM. The restaurant was full except for two tables. The owner was in the kitchen cooking with another person(I believe one of his sons), another(I think son) was at the register, and a female was waiting on tables with the person at the register. I saw the very unhappy look on the waitress’s face and told my son that she looked like she was having a bad day. No one said a word to me as I waited to be greeted and offered a table. I finally stared at the waitress after she wiped down a table, she noticed and indicated to me that I could sit at that table… which we did. No one came to the table and after 10 minutes I got up and walked over to the server station to get two menus. A few minutes after I got the menus, the waitress came over to ask if we wanted anything to drink. I ordered coffee and my son ordered water and apple juice. The drinks came a few minutes later. She took our order… I ordered an omelette and my son ordered no food as he just wasn’t hungry. I prepared my coffee but couldn’t stir it because there was no silverware. The male cashier/waiter walked by and I asked him for a spoon. He said, «Sure.» He went right to the next table over, wiped it down and went to the register. After five minutes I got up and again went to the server station to get my own silverware. We then waited for our food… and waited… and waited… and waited. I noticed people who had come in after us get their food and get ready to depart. I finally called the waitress over and told her that I believe she must not have turned in my ticket because I had been waiting an hour for an omelet and others had been served who came in after us. She looked at me straight faced(she had a sour puss on her face the whole morning) and said in a very uncaring way, «You’re probably right. We’ve been having a bad day.» She then asked me what I ordered. I told her an omelette and she started to walk towards the kitchen. I stopped her and said I didn’t want to waste one more minute of my vacation waiting for food and that I would just pay for our drinks. She didn’t charge for the drinks and we left. Now I understand when restaurants have staffing or logistical problems… but I have never seen such a waitress before who was so uncaring, grouchy and with such a poor attitude. The two men in the kitchen looked to be working very hard and the cashier/waiter was running around doing what he could… but with a smile. I will not return to this place again and will no longer recommend it. I’d give it zero stars if the program would let me do it.

We stopped here this morning to have breakfast and kill some time in between a doctors appointment. The food was simply amazing! I do not believe we have ever had a better breakfast from any other establishment. The server was Angie and due to the combination of her great friendly service and the amazing food we will definitely return. We had the Country Boy Benedict with a side of the best yellow grits I have ever ate. Thinking about trying the Shrimp and Grits on our next visit. Great food, great people, and great prices!!! Give these guys a try! You will not be disappointed!

Ate here while on vacation in Maggie Valley, delicious biscuits, great pancakes, and good all-around breakfast. My husband said it’s the best American breakfast he’s ever had.

For what it is and where it is, this place fits the bill. One waitress was there to cover all of the tables, but she was on top of everything and maintained great contact with each set of diners. The food was fast and pretty good. I highly recommend the pancakes as they were perfectly cooked, moist, and freshly made. They had a burst of vanilla flavor and absorbed syrup without getting soggy. My scrambled eggs were overcooked, but the biscuit was spot on. And those home fries? The caramelized onions mixed in were a nice choice. The coffee was the perfect temperature and the waitress was quick with the refills, which is the best you can hope for. The tables were decked with ample creamer and sugar, alongside the usual breakfast condiments. However, the place definitely needs to be updated to keep pace with other breakfast spots in the area. Nothing is particularly glaring, but it is time for a new carpet and a fresh coat of paint. All things considered, this is a reliable spot for good food and quick service. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes and more than satisfied.

Restaurant was freezing cold when we arrived around 11:25 am. We asked them to turn the heat up but, if they did, the heat is obviously inadequate. We had to keep our jackets on the whole meal. The restaurant was out of biscuits and many other items. They are only open from 7 – 12, not 7 – 2. The atmosphere is ratty and shoestring. This also is a «cash only restaurant.» What does that tell you? Hash was awful. Cheese grits? Stiff as a board. Coffee was lukewarm. Eggs were properly cooked over easy and the toast and sausage were excellent. Skip this place in cooler months.

Went here while staying in Maggie Valley and tried out their breakfast. It’s a cute little place with maybe 7 – 8 tables. They only had two people working in the whole place, and it was full. One person did the cooking and the other person did just about everything else. Bless her heart, she was taking orders, cleaning tables, running food, and ringing people up. She had the job of about 5 people. So yes, the service was a little slow, but the poor girl was doing the best she could. As far as the food goes it was actually pretty good. I had a scrambled egg with a side of grits and a biscuit. The scrambled egg was really good and I liked that they have yellow grits instead of white. My biscuit was not the best, but the others in my party said theirs were really good and they looked better than mine as well. One ordered biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon, the other a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit. The bacon and the sausage were your standard grocery stores brand, nothing special, but I tried the gravy and it was really great! If your looking for a place to eat breakfast in Maggie Valley I would suggest this place. The food is good and the value is great. You might have to wait a little bit, but take that time to enjoy the mountains; which you can see from out the window.

Like others have said and I will emphasize I almost would not have given this place a great review had it not been for the food. The service here is slower. Not on purpose I think they just work on mountain time and serve one table at a time. It’s not that big or fancy inside so keep that in mind also. That part out of the way I can tell you after eating at every restaurant in this town several times and trying all the biscuits that this place wins the biscuit contest hands down. I’m not the only one in my party to think that. Like another reviewer said the pancakes here blow away the place down the street also, sorry Pancake House. If you order a biscuit sandwich keep in mind you’ll get two sandwiches with your order, not one, but you’ll end up eating both even if you weren’t hungry enough. The french toast is made with Cuban bread, bacon is good and sausage is a slightly thicker patty style just as a heads up. They have yellow grits too. There’s a lunch menu and I seen several locals eating burgers here but have not had a chance to try that myself. if you haven’t had a chance and want to avoid the lines and have a little patience, try this place for sure.

I brought 3 teenage boys here. They said the pancakes were heaven sent. Biscuits were fresh out of the oven. The omelet were good, but not great which was the only reason for 4. The service was great. Everyone was very friendly.

This place is out of this world. Tiny diner with about 10 tables. Service staff is very cheerful and friendly. My guest and i both ordered country boy benedict. Homemade buscuits topped with a fresh ham steak smothered in sausage gravy and topped with 2 eggs your way. This is exactly what youd expect from southern biscuits and gravy. Thick and loaded with sausage and just a hint of spice. The ham steak tasted like they butchered it out back. I also ordered grits. Smooth and creamy. I feel like a local! A must try if you’re in Maggie Valley

Love this little place. So much better than the hyped up Joey’s. Best biscuits in the area. Try everything especially the shrimp and grits. Sausage gravy was the best I’ve had in a long while. Home cooking at its finest.

This place is great! Full menu and home made taste! The biscuits are fresh from the oven hot ;) It was busy when we arrived and stayed that way, although that didn’t affect the great service. Going back tomorrow for breakfast before heading out toward the Blue Ridge Parkway!
